Somethings dont suprise me but what does suprise me is that Coldplay isnt even in the top 40? they are the most expensive band in the world surely they should be somewhere in the top and if not 2011 they will in 2012.

I don't think they'd been doing arena tours in 2011 and Mylo Xyloto was probably released too late to be counted.

But in reality if you count endorsments, movie deals, other business ventures and stuff then the list would be drastically different.

Lady Gaga, 50 Cent, Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and a lot of others make a shit ton of money even if it's not purely from record sales/tours.

Actualy this is what i was thinking that why i said if not in 2011 then in 2012 coz im 100% sure they are one of the most wanted bands on any festival + they tour a lot more then most of those listed

The only reason i could think of why some of them make more money its rather because there english and u know how well bands from UK do in america i mean rihanna had 11 number one songs in america and thats just her but cmon shes not that great Coldplay had 2 which are Viva la vida and Paradise now i dont think about coldplay only but also Linkin park and Foo fighters are very low most of the top 20 all fall in the category of rihanna they keep coming and coming with new songs and ofc some are bound to hit number 1 in america about justin timberlake tho its not so weird hes not in the top 40 his last album was in 2006...
