The Deer Hunter was his best work, I think.

A View to A Kill, a sentimental childhood favorite.

Suicide Kings, or Balls of Fury. But I still think his best work, non-movie, is in SNL!!

Hey remember when he did DEAD ZONE gaw. As a side note he does the same dance from fatboy slim for a brief time in kings of new york, suicide kings.. deer hunter is another exceptional film, true romance was a good role for him.

I don't really agree with other people saying his minor roles are better, I think it's because in the newer movies he appears in they cast him as a quirky character and try to force it out of him.. like wedding crashers, click ect when they do this he only seems to be good in smaller doses because they aren't trying to cast an actor they're trying to cast walken. It's just too much cowbell.

The Prophecy. Christopher Walken as a disillusioned and pissed off Angel Gabriel. (Lucifer played by Viggo Mortensen, interestingly.)

    Gabriel: This war is mine!
Lucifer: Your war is arrogance. That makes it evil. That's mine.
Gabriel: Lucifer. (Walken Pause) Sitting in your basement. (Walken Pause) Sulking over your break up, with the boss. (Walken Pause) You're nothing.
Lucifer: Time to come home, Gabriel.

I loved him in Suicide Kings. But I think his bit part in Annie Hall is one of his best, despite its briefness.

    It's silly, but so awesome.
