If they indeed need a new animation rig for the old races it would make sense to upgrade the mesh aswell, you kind of need more polygons to avoid overstretching of the textures, at least as far as I know with my little knowledge about animation.

Is no one commenting on the pic with the two 'not taurens' wielding the PvP lvl 60 pig sticker? I would play a tauren with those skins. I hope they rework the old races and this may become the new tauren look.

It is a new race, humanoid Yak race.

Tauren are not that fluffy.

lol it is only the 3rd screen and already there are reused models from wow classic.... wow why are we still paying full price for this copy-past-game (sometimes with colour-changes)...(the weapons on the 2 tauren are High Warlord's Pig Stickers)

Anicent cousin to the Tauren a la Taunka, those these guys are loosely based on Asian Yaks not American Bison like the Taunka. If you look closely you can see a new banner hanging in the background of the Yakmen screen shot. Kinda of white.gray with a redish looking yak head/skull on it. Seriously doubt it is anything like a new Tauren model. Though you'd hope when they do new PC models they are on par with this.
