Just "won" Dota 2?

I was on a forum, and someone asked people to guess the first number of the lottery (I wasn't paying attention which one, looks like it might have been the powerball of 30), and they'd gift them something on steam.
So apparently I guessed right, and I got a gift for Dota2. It's not released yet so how is this possible

It's the Dota 2 beta, which is available through Steam.
Congrats. It's a fun game.

If you look at steam activity Dota 2 is in, or very close to, the top 10 a lot of the time. Haven't played it myself, but it's very active for an unreleased game ^^
