yes I believe they said they would do that when they first went over the second season in an interview
I guess i could live with that, if the show keeps being good. I know people find stuff they dont like about it, but overall, i really enjoy watching it, so i dont care.

    Depends on the time.

If you mean "only air" aang as we find him at start vs "fire/water/earth" korra as we find her at start, then defo korra (she is more practiced, more aged, more powerful, and knows more bending).

If we talk "aang at show finale" vs "korra at season finale", then id say aang (he had avatar state mastered).

At no point in time at this moment are they yet evenly matched.

    Let us do battle!!

I'd imagine Korra would win since she was able to use 3 elements off the bat

I thought the season finale was a little rushed, another episode would've been able to explain some of those fast plot moves (Tenzin getting caught, Aang speaks to Korra for more than 4 seconds). Other than that, Bumi looks frickin awesome, Zuko's Grandson Iroh is an adrenaline junky, and I can help Asami get over Mako. Wait, what?

    One word: Brilliant.

I loved every second of the last two episodes, and the series as a whole. I'm looking forward to the next season. I found Korra's series to be awesome and lovingly crafted on every level!!!

EDIT: We really do need the official soundtrack too!

So... what do you think Season 2 will start with, I guess Korra will find out that Amon and Tarrlok are dead, not sure how, but I think she'll find out somehow in the early episodes, just to give her that peace of mind aswell, and us knowing that she does.
Or they are.... not dead, but I dont know how that would be possible in any way shape or form.

Amon and Tarrlok are gone. A comeback of either, especially the former, would be cheesy and an example of bad writing.

Their end was very touching and moving, and I think it should stay there.

Like Tarrlok said anyway, it was time to end that sad story.

I absolutely loved the final. First time I've watched it I've even shed a tear at the ending... I'm not the most emotional guy, but it is amazing and interesting how animated series could spark such emotions that even most real life events or "dramatic" movies wont.

I totally agree with that, but I found it so sad... Tarrlok regretted what he did... so did Amon, he even cried at the end.... and then BOOM... but why did Tarrlok do it do you guys think.
Dint he want to start again?
He tought he could not let Amon get away?
Felt sorry for himself of what he did?
Dint want the chance of it happening again?
Generally depressed with what they did in the image of their father?

I honestly do not know, I think he felt they had to be punished or something....
I do agree it should stay with this, but you never know...

Just to avoid speculation on them being alive, even thou I asked for it, I just found this, this sealed it 100%, dint expect anything, but went looking for it anyway.
    From the Avatar wiki:
"Amon, going by his true name Noatak again, happily spoke of how there was nothing they could not do together. Tarrlok, however, used an Equalist glove to ignite the fuel tank, causing the boat to explode, killing them both. Just before that, Noatak shed a single tear."
