the walking dead is about survival. how mankind would deal with the impending doom of the end of the world. if you want a zombie movie, go watch dead snow, undead, anything by George A. Romero, or any of the other hundreds of zombie movies. if you want to watch something with an incredibly gripping story of human survival plus the added benefit of zombies, watch the walking dead.
