[Books] Need helping choosing a book to read!

I haven't actually read a book in a long time and it feels terrible. I'm usually an avid reader and definitely don't want to become one of thoooose people. I've come up with a short list of books that I want to read but can't pick which one to start with. I'm sure that I'll eventually read them all though.

    -The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho

    -The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

-No Longer at Ease by Chinua Achebe

-The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft

    -Pet Sematary by Stephen King

    Help?

Gah forums, i failed utterly, cba rewrite it all.

Short story, i loved the hobbit as a kid, always wanted to read at least one Stephen King book to see what all the fuss is about. But if you really wanna find a book serie to love and adore and enjoy, there is a big big chance you can get into The Wheel Of time, written by Robert Jordan. Extremely many hours was put into this book serie by this author before he died in 2005 from a blood disease, and you really understand by reading the amount of work he must have put down in order to create what he did. Ive reread the serie four times by now, not counting all the times ive skipped back in previous books or just opened one at random to reread certain chapters that involves extra exciting parts of the story, or, and this happened alot, just to understand all the Forshadowing that are placed into the books.
Start with The Eye of the world, and by book 3 or 4 when you think you are starting to love the series, give the outtrigger a try named New Spring, just to get some extra tidbits of information about Moraine and Lan twenty years before the Two rivers, then continue onward with the mainstory.

Also works perfectly as a audiobook when playing wow and grinding/doing dailys/camping rarespawns, anytime you arent on teamspeak/ventrilo. When you reread the books like i have, you tend to make your own "movie" in your head while listening to the audio books.

Go for The Hobbit. Mainly because it's a good story, but also because it'll be in theatres soon. Better read it, before you watch it imo.

The Hobbit or The Call of Cthulhu were my favorites of that list.

Steven King is good, but Pet Semetary wasn't one of my favorites by him.

Can't go wrong with Lovecraft or Tolkien imo.

Oh, and to the poster a few above me, Wheel of Time series was amazing, it would have been amazing to see what it could
have evolved into if he wouldn't have died early.

His best book. Great for cashing in on childhood nostalgia.

    Try some books by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Castaneda

They are not for everyone but do tell an interesting story over the course of his work.
