Ranged RB/Reaver/Bm Warrior problem.

Hello, im pretty new to rift, (2 days and 20 lvls) But have experimented alot whit my warrior, and are trying to planning ahead to lvl 50.
Atm i have settled for a ranged RB / Bm / Reaver build, its working great atm, i can farm non-stop thanks to the easy kiteing.

However, i would like to make use of my ranged auto attack to get the most out of RB even at range. The problem is, even if i i toggle the ranged auto attack manually. It swaps to the auto-melee as soon as i use an ability, even if its the spears. Are there a way to disable the melee auto attacks, or should i simply put the "auto attack points" in the RB tree somewere else?

Ranged auto-attack turns off when you use abilities, this can't be changed.

The talents that boost auto-attacks in Riftblade are still very effective in melee range since autoattacks continue even when using activatable abilities.

Reaver is great for leveling and gaining health back from multiple mobs, but towards end game it starts not to scale oh that well. Here is a example of a builf that is pretty great dps in the next patch 1.8

Very easy to play build with really high mobility (if played with Planar Blade). Mediocre AoE.
Also high survivability through Avatar of Water and Void.
