I am looking to build a new machine, the last time I built a machine was when the AMD 64 first came out o_0... Anyway I am looking to build a new machine and I have roughly a 2,000 budget. I need to build everything for a machine...minus a mouse... My "must haves" are as followed:
-SSD - size just enough for my games of course.
-must be able to run WoW & D3 at max settings.
-water cooled case - one of my cats sheds a ton o_0.
Cases don't come water cooled, a case is just a case. You would need to buy all of the appropriate waterblocks, and install the cooling loop, pump, fittings, radiator(s), and reservoir within whatever case you choose.
If you haven't built a computer before from scratch, it isn't a wise decision to do water cooling. You're going to want to learn how to build with air cooling, then move on from there.
Further, water cooling still requires a bunch of fans, usually with the radiator exhausting out of the case, creating negative airflow (pulling air in from the vents and cracks of your case). So if anything, you'll get more cat hair/dander/dust/whatever on your components using water cooling compared to air cooling.
Alright let's make a second attempt at this, but first I will post a comment looking for an answer.
I have built about 15 PC's when i was younger (roughly around 2003 - 2007), but it has been years since I've built a new machine and I am not 100% up to date with what are the best parts on the market for my budget and such. But being that you brought to my attention that it would probably be worse for my machine to run on a water cooling system I can do without; which in return should help with budgeting!
So to follow the sticky rules, I will just copy/paste the thread and answer in bold.

What I'd get. Excellent performance, would handle all games on max settings. You don't necessarily need to buy a new monitor, I'd suggest you to stick with the one you have atm (but if you don't want to, buy the one I linked)

I currently don't have any monitor at all, I currently game from a work laptop at home. I only get about 6 fps while raiding from it, but I someone still top meters and don't die!
Alright maybe i should rephrase everything even more then lol... i need to be able to handle Titan when/if it ever comes out. thanks for all the input so far guys/gals!
Personal preferrences. While many do, not all games support Crossfire or SLI, and while you could get a bit more performance out of it with two cheaper cards, the increase isn't that big if I'm informed correctly. Also, buying one card now will make it easier to upgrade in the future; when you feel like the performance isn't good enough you can buy another R7970.
Edit: On the monitor front that Necroma brought up: that is too personal preferrences. Some prefer 120Hz, some prefer the superior picture quality of the IPS-monitors. Personally, I prefer the IPS.

I was thinking of going with a full size tower (COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case) -- any thoughts or draw backs of doing so?
You can mix and match monitors/Case based on your personal preference. You could also up the SSD to 256GB if you want to as you have plenty of room. This setup will run everything max for years.
EDIT: That better Anderzon The 680 is a better card and this guy wants overkill so.
just a heads up about x-fire an 7970 unless they changed something since i last looked it up X-fire doesnt work in windowed mode where as i believe nvidea does so if your the sort of guy that multi tabs alot or wants a second monitor at some point etc or you just prefer to play in wodowed (even fullscreen windowed i beleive) xfire doesnt do anything. I could be wrong but i nearly made this mistake with my 6870 was about to go xfire then found out for what i do just a better single gpu or swap to nvidea were my options.
Edit: this one little thing here is why why sometimes function is better than overall performance depending on what you do so make sure you look into little things like that
Now that I think about it I would like to run two monitors, just so I don't need to alt+tab constantly when I want to put on music or look something up on the web. So maybe factor that in now that people have brought it up!
