Les Friction's first album. Yes, the one that was released at the end of last year. First time I felt like an artist should be supported. I did, however, listen to the whole album beforehand so...

Previous to that, it's the "pirate store" and youtube for me.

This thread is funny. Mine is a little embarrasing as well even though 1 of the tracks is still played at sporting events haha:

LOL, I remember them. They where very popular with the Early Ravers. personally not my Cup of Tea. But then My first Album (Audio Cassette actually) was probably even more embarrassing.

I believe the first album that I owned was Use your Illusion 1 by Guns N Roses.

I loved that one so much as a child that my parents bought it for me

I am not ashamed to admit that it was
    Body Count - Body Count.

OK, I am ashamed...I was 11 or so and thought they were SO cool.

2nd album was Guns 'n' Roses' Appetite for Destruction - a far better choice

Bought the cassette tape of this one.

This is the first CD I bought, and first actual music group(non-soundtrack) and I'm not ashamed!

I think the first albums I bought were 4 Seasons records back in the early 60's. However, before The Beatles came along, buying albums was a bad move because what you got were one or two good songs that had been released as singles and the rest of the LP was trash. The Beatles were the first to make albums where every track was a quality effort. In my opinion they made the two best albums ever released by anybody, Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper. Rubber Soul was very good too and considered groundbreaking in it's field.
