MMO-Champion Ultimate Showdown: Nominations

Due to the popularity of the "Vs." threads, it's time to settle once and for all who the most powerful is! Please place your nominations of your top TEN characters from any universe! Please be aware of the following rules:

A. No WoW characters. They've had their competition in the past, we want to see who else can take the title!

B. Try not to be too obscure. If nobody knows who your votes are for, they won't know how strong they can be!

C. Make sure you let us know where each character comes from. For example, your vote would say: Deathwing-Warcraft Universe (just an example, I'm aware of the previous rule).

Nominations will be taken in this thread for a week or more, depending on how it goes. The top candidates will be placed into a bracket, and each week we'll vote on a matchup, until we're down to two contestants! So get your favorite heroes, villians, whatever, and have fun!

I agree on Batman, and would like to nominate Max Payne, Artyom from Metro, Revan, Emperor Vitiate, Lucy from Elfen Lied, Nicolo Machiavelli (because why not?), the demon from Insidious, King Boo, and Shadow the Hedgehog.
