    RMAH cash-out profit table

Please note that the following table only applies to those that choose to cash out via Paypal and have a US bank account linked to their Paypal account.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/top...0907?page=4#74
PayPal will not charge any fees for transfers to them. You'll pay a 15% transfer fee to PayPal, and then whatever you do with the money after that is between you and them. But the transfer to PayPal is 15%, and that's it.
If you want a quick approximation for the amount you'd receive for selling an item above $175, just multiply by .85. As the sale price approaches infinity, the profit margin approaches 85%.

I am guessing the profit will be lowered for non US area's due to the paypal charge for currency conversion? If I recall correctly most of the charges for conversion are between 30 cents and a dollar. So lower end item sales are less worthwhile, but commodities and higher priced items are still fairly profitable.

As long as the paypal is linked to an actual bank account and not a credit card, it shouldn't cost anything in that regard. Just the currency conversion. Unless it counts as a personal transaction, in which case I believe there is a fee of like .5% to 1%.

Very confusing, but hope it all gets settled and worked out before launch date.

Who in their right minds would even pay that much for an item?

I'm pretty sure the market will reduce their prices heavily after bots and chinese farmers run rampant.
I doubt the prices for even the most expensive items will eventually be higher than $10.

D2 items have sold on third party sites for over $1000 back in the day.

yeah I wish they didn't have that cap and let the market determine the price, it would be really interesting to see what a high value is and the thing is this will be a negative to Blizzard because lets say for example some something like Spectral tiger sells for $2000 that would create a huge news worthy story and get the game free exposure, and get people playing, they are missing out on that.

I'm just wondering and speculation how much people can possibly make an hour a day? I've heard numbers like $3 an hour average.

I'm guessing the bid cap is $250 because your battle.net balance is capped to $250, seeing as though everyone won't be able to cash out to PayPal and will have to deposit their RMAH profits to the battle.net balance.

added a Google Doc link right above the table with Blizzard Bucks ammounts added, you can also download it from there and use the table to the right to add in your own price for calculation

Regardless of the actual profit from selling an item, it is a 100% profit either way, since it didn't cost anything to receive the item itself.

I for one am not playing D3 to farm for items, I am playing it to have fun and any items I find are a bonus. People seem to be underestimating how LITTLE they will actually make. Items won't be worth anything until Inferno items start appearing.

Things will still end up costing that much, you'll just have to buy $250 dollars worth of gold four times on the RMAH, then buy it with the gold on the regular AH.

Yeah, I am actually considering only selling gold on the RMAH and using the gold AH to make "money" so to speak. It will be a lot easier that way I think. Sell gold in $ increments the way the gold seller sites do knowing that people will be using gold they bought from me to buy my items on the Gold AH, gold that I can now re-sell them.

It's a poorly thought out one if the seller is trying to cash out. Because the seller will be hit with 39%~ in fees. The seller is more than likely going to want to trade(as in person) his helm of awesomeness (500.00 value) for 2 helms of greatness that sell for 250.00 each. If we're being literal, it would be high end gems. Providing they aren't considered commodities(can't remember), if they are then it will be the most common high end legendaries. Say.. something that would only drop in acts 3/4 of inferno

that value included the risk and "difficulty" of such a sale. There was not even a gold AH in D2 remember. Most rare items that werent used by the finder got wasted.

through the authorized AH, items should be far more available. atleast all things being equal. Perhaps drop rates will be lower since the items are more easily transferred.

RMAH, should be no limit. otherwise pure goldy items will be sold on trade forums.
also there should be RMAH in Hardcore, now all trades will be made outside, somewhere else.
