They don't care about your opinion when it comes to stresstest. Theres an ongoing beta with no time limit for actuall feedback on how to make the game better.

Actually a stresstest is a good way to know what the "masses" think about your game. The ongoing test doesn't have that many testers, but those will post detailed feedback about various subjects which improve the quality. But with the stresstest they can see if the direction of the game is liked and if many players complain about certain aspects about the game like the login screen or the character creator (just naming random things) then they know they should do 'something' about that.
So I do not agree the stresstest information ain't used at all, it's just a different kind of information they will get.
I'm wondering what you can actually experience in 5mins :/ ? I'm not in the beta and dont intend to even try getting on it, but I can tell you that you don't really give game a chance with just 5mins. I dont think the entire time given for this beta is enough to "give it a chance" even if it wasnt just stress test.
I'm probably going to buy the game immediately when it gets released (unless I get really into d3 expansion... damn blizz releasing their game just before this comes out...) . If the constant complaining keeps even e portion of whiners away, I'm happy.
I'd like to experience more than 5 min, but no beta key oddly enough .

Well (but this is with any game not just eso) you can pretty much know what a game is like after 2 or 3 hours played, ok there are some games that grow in time like Europa Universalis IV did for me. But to compare it with another mmo, world of warcraft, after 2 to 3 hours I knew what the game was like and if I was going to enjoy it or not and that has been with most games. Although it's always worth to play longer because some games need to grow and get really good after a certain point (mostly towards the midgame as I call it).
But 5 minutes is very short, I wonder what you did see then. Once again to compare it with World of warcraft, that would be a character creator, loadscreen and the introduction movie and then those 5 minutes are over. I wouldn't even take the people that play a game for 5 minutes seriously as you can't base your opinion on 5 minutes as you can't play a game in that time. (comparing it with world of warcraft) I also wonder if all those people that "bash" it here are truly in the beta, but that is a different note.
I know I can't stand an MMO pretty quickly, it can take 15 minutes sometimes for me to write of an MMO. I don't think a hardcore WoW player will like this game. You need to like TES to like this game because of the way questing works.
But they have done a great job so far with the current build.
I'm playing the game now and it does feel like The Elder Scrolls, so far. If I am allowed to say that much.![]()
Think the game is great so far, went in with low expectations, find the game smooth and like the combat. Lots of choices.
No idea why someone would quit after 5 mins, in any game, that gives it zero chance.
without breaking the NDA about game mechanic, i will just say this, and it's common knowledge.
This game is not a wow clone regarding combat system, but it's not a pure skyrim either.
it's somewhere in between. it uses lef click attack and right click block and control like a FPS, but it also has an action bar foe spell.
since you don't have mouse pointer outside menu, the wow clickers will have to learn to use keybind to use spells. I think that will be too much for many though.

I can see it now "DUDE WHERES MY MOUSE?!?!" filling the support forums lol.

I played for like 3 or 4 hours. I can't believe they spent $200 million on this. Think of the starving children. Oh my science.
Even though I really dislike "action combat" in MMOs (I find it more suited for single player games ala Skyrim), I did enjoy the stress test so far. For a stress test and the number of players in it, it also seemed rather smooth and stable.
feels like a cross between gw2 and skyrim :S Going to wait for launch to play it instead of beta, i played gw2 beta and hated i, however i waited a year and tried it again and it was actually really fun think I'll do the same for this... yeh the combat feels a little weird, definitely not in league with wow's smoothness , even skyrim felt much smoother 0o
