In simple terms it seems like what happened is that Boethiah won the battle with Trinimac, ate him, and then "relieved himself" which formed Malacath. Malatcath is my guy.

Yeah, its because you're also paying for the included 30 day subscription. Take that out of the equation, and it would of been £30 or $35.

A paywall is something that prevents your character from progressing any further unless you spend money. A CE-exclusive race is not a paywall.

Can we get back to important topics like the "confirmation" that the imperial race is behind the CE-paywall and not obtainable through ingame efforts?

At this point, to start - if you don't have the Imperial Edition (Digital or physical) then No imperials for you. There is no firm confirmation (or denial) that it is available through ingame efforts. However there are screencaps out there of people talking to support, and they have 'hinted' broadly that there will be a way to 'unlock' Imperials

Would be cool if you can unlock them for the amount of time where your faction has an emperor from controlling a large amount of cyrodil.
While its under your control you can make them, but once you lose control and emperorness goes to another faction then that faction can create imperial characters.

And you can already learn how to craft imperial armor when you find the recipe in the world. I mean in all honesty, the only thing to complain about is not being able to play as any race as any faction, and even that isn't something huge. They want to give people some cool perks for buying a collectors edition, fuck them right?

Yeah, the CS doesn't have a clue at this point. Read the first paragraph of the recent "Ask us anything" and watch the unboxing video; they make it very clear that the imperial race is only available through the imperial edition.

They might change their might eventually, but that would create a huge outcry from the people who bought the Imperial edition ... rightfully so
They're screwed either way and I don't get it why their marketing team creates one shitstorm after another ...

But then again, we're quite an elitist community here, not a lot of portential customers read the fansite forums or the subreddits and those who cry the loudest will be the first ones to spam the login button on march 30...

There is no ongoing beta at the moment outside of developers access. The current build is also not 1.0.0. Strange that you managed to access something that's not available. What do people gain by telling blatant lies? I don't get it.

Of course there is! If you are in a special group like me (Mara into Psijic Order) you have a special server that is online like 24/7. The new build just came out at the 28.01.
