Veteran content sounds good, dunno about those trails yet though. I hope it's somewhat more and I wonder when those will be released.

there are already quite a few endgame costumes ... like the emperor costume you get while you're emperor.

Maybe those are rewards for beating the trial within 3 hours / 2 hours / 1,5 hours or something like that
Well, the current adventure zones sound like they'd give a pretty easy adaptation to being an indoor environment. You could shrink an adventure zone to something that was a dungeon as the main area with single instanced boss encounters (and either instance or don't instance the main dungeon area - fill that with enemies too ofc).
"leader boards" on that would then be about a team that could clear the whole X number of bosses/dungeons in the zone in the times/# of deaths.
I mean, you could even take a chunk of something that would sit happily around a city in skyrim (like city with surrounding countryside) make the area a warzone with some daedric lord (i.e, hard) and have the bosses stuck in corners of that. They can make it VERY close to a "raid" setting if they wish, the tech is being tested at the high end first as a main content creation system for the game, if they can package and release an adventure zone every.... 3 months? It's like a container of everything that would go in a patch but tucked neatly together.
Clearly postulation (I don't KNOW these things) but it seems to make sense.

On other games it's been fairly easy to do, but I haven't figured out how to do that on ESO's account setup page and going to their help system was... less than helpful.
Does anyone know how much racial recognition there is in 'home' factions? I kind of want to make a Bosmer in DC, but I'm wondering if I'm going to miss out racial nuances from Bosmer NPCs if I played in AD. I didn't notice any recognition of my orc in Betnikh (which was weird), but conversely in EP Rana seemed to acknowledge I was a fellow Dunmer.

The adventure zones and the content there seems interesting based on the description in this last article.
The first thought when I read the part about Trials was something like a moderately long gauntlet with a few bosses along the way (sort of like Thorim phase 1 in Ulduar just longer) or something like defend against X waves of enemies. From the way they described them with the staging area and clear times leaderboards I would expect each trial to be fairly short (< 1 hour, closer to 30 min if the time is good) with very little downtime and time to rest. This is 100% speculation and just what I imagined based on the short description given.
Looking forward to seeing what adventure zones will really look like. It's the last thing I'm waiting to find out before deciding to buy the game or not.
Well I do hope that besides having these trails (which are fun) that we might get something raidish at some point. Maybe 'master' dungeons or something that are designed for 8 man. It's not something Zenimax wants to do, but it is something I will probably miss in eso and it's a great way to have long lasting content. By making it more like dungeons you can do with a smaller group then in most mmo's it might still get that eso feel.

From what I understood if it it's killing a boss on a timer without any trash or whatsoever. That is not true raiding in my book, it's cool but I don't think it will be worthwhile for the non-hardcore raiders. It's not even clear that it has any form of loot or so. The trails -are- cool but I doubt it's aimed for most groups. 8 man raidlike dungeons could fit all those who can't do the trials.
Psh. I already have a Breton & Orc planned for DC, the master faction. :P However, 8 character slots + disinterest in playing a Redguard + disinterest in having 3 characters in EP = somebody has to be moved to DC. Besides, the look I chose for my Bosmer seemed to be popular in beta, she'd stick out in DC!

What I got from it is that it's just one trial. Trials. Twelve people fighting through an increasingly difficult experience. A Trial is instanced to your group of twelve. There is a staging area where you can plan your attack and the Trial itself.
So that means you are in a room and then you fight a boss that is timed and then what? You can do it faster, but there doesn't seem to be any decent reward that is going for, just a shiny scoreboard that no one except the very hardcore care about and I doubt they care if there is no reward from doing it. The more I think about these trials the worse it sounds to me.
I rather have a hard fight that is complete able by most and then give loot after which you do a new boss then some trials that you can do for a 'scoreboard mention' (who cares).
This just sounds really really boring with no incentive to do it.In a Trial, you will have a limited number of resurrections, known as a Soul Reservoir. Too many resurrections mean that you have failed the trial. It takes a lot of coordination to survive a Trial. The enemies you face in a Trial will be difficult, while the surroundings are some of the most beautiful places in ESO. Provided you do survive and make it to the end of a Trial, your group might make it to the leaderboard. Trials have a running clock and mistakes, including deaths, can add a time penalty. Turn in a great time, however, and you might make it to the top of the leaderboard. If you fail, your group can restart and try again.
Edit : and yeah, I went from 'sounds cool' to 'meh' as I noticed there were no rewards mentioned besides some scoreboard nobody will care about. Adventure zones sound much cooler but the raidcontent is a true letdown for me. Also becaues it is just spamable it seems (you can retry whenever you want). I really hope they will post more about this and make some changes to the system as I think that will be necissary or keep this but add some real raidlike content instead of this timed no-reward pve.
From what I saw here it seemed more like trials were encounters with limited allowed deaths that just happened to be timed. To me that sounds more like WoW's mount run type events than ToC.
Well it's basically the same way you'd describe wow's raiding except adding a leader board you can qualify for and a hard limit on how many deaths you can have for your group. I'm just guessing that the loot rewards haven't been fully explained and that trials at this point aren't designed to be the be all end all gear.

Yes, but no reward is mentioned besides the scoreboard. Also it seems this is just ment for the very very hardcore. Shouldn't there be some raiding content for the not so hardcore aswell? This looks like raid content with 1 boss garrosh hellscream HC. There should be atleast raiding content for those who are raiding normal in wow imo. And to clarify, I am raiding herioc soo at the moment so I feel like I am allowed to ask for content that is less hardcore as I doubt I am able to get this done if it is just ment for timed and scoreboards.

I think having a few 12 man instanced bosses added to the adventure zone (like those public dungeons you have currently) that drops the maximum Vr loot would be enough. Atleast for me. That atleast gives those who aren't interested in scoreboards something raid-like to do. Because honestly I don't give a shit about being number #1 in a scoreboard or being the emperor. I rather have some cool item I can use.
Also it's not complaining because there is no gearmill or whatsoever. But more that there is no reason doing the 12 man endgame content besides getting on a scoreboard I honestly don't care about. Even in wow that has a gearmill I am not interested in the gear, I completed soo because I wanted the mount that came from garrosh normal and because I wanted the heirlooms. Before that I was constantly raiding to get to that next boss, because it is cool to have killed it when it was still current. Those things are cool to go for and repeat quite a few times. But one trial with a scoreboard? I couldn't care less, I might do that once and never again. But why would I do it, the scoreboard is pointless because you will not reach #1 anyway. Atleast stick some cool stuff on it like a mount or a title, that is atleast something worth going for that everyone can enjoy as no one will not be able to use that. Reaching #1 is just for the very best guild and no one else.
@michkybrighteyes actually they mentioned lots of cool stuff on the other pve activities. For solo/duo they mentioned more skyshards and higher vr levels. For 4 man veteran dungeons they mentioned achievements and loot. For craglorn they mentioned new crafting items, new gear, new quests and various other things. For the trials they mentioned scoreboards, woop die woo. All other activities are perfectly fine in my book, it doesn't have to be gear but it should just be something worth going for besides beating a record you will not be able to beat. I also fear that these trials will turn in alot of elitism like in wow where people ask you herioc garrosh achievement if you want to come flex. With these time trials that will be even worse.
