I'm in!!!!! I am motherfucking in!!!
I am in wooooo
Fight on brothers!!!!
(not in a silly "big headed" way) but I've "called" pretty much every MMO since WoW. Was interested in WoW before beta started.
This is the first one that's pulled my attention away well enough. It's got a bunch of big names in the dev team including members who helped make ultima online (about the first MMO ever) so that's around 15 years MMO experience in some of their key people...
Adventure zones look to have pretty amazing scope. An instanced zone with mobs + bosses... does rather sound like a raid by another name. Making it a game zone rather than a dungeon though give's LOTS of room to play with the formula and plow through making content in a nice easy to deploy "bubble" that doesn't effect the rest of the game much (thus needs less testing).
The character development is far more open than pretty much any other MMO (harks back as far as ultima online - that just gave you 700 skillpoints and let you spend them at will) so there's plenty of scope for folks doing their own take on things.
Overall, there's quite a lot of scope for it to be amazing. Not any sort of guarantee how it will do but it's got the pedigree and game systems to do well.

And as I said; said every mmo developer since WoW. If the starwars IP went free-to-play, you can bet your bottom dollar that NO IP is immune. I'll be rooting for any and all MMOs that release on a subscription model to stay as such, but experience points to it not being likely. And I'm probably going to have to disappoint you but there were several articles over the past week that were succintly explaining why ESO would never go free2play.
*orgasm when music kicks in*
Erm, where the hell can I see my subscription on the account info?
Is the character creator bugged? cannot zoom in on my character's face.
7names reserved like a boss![]()
The IP means jack, it's about how fun the game is to play and how long it carries worthy content for. I think ESO will do fairly well on both counts. Still - not sitting here saying "it will definitely be the new top MMO" type effort, it's going to keep hold of 1m+ though even with a subs model (imo).

I just made a character fine and I zoomed in on the face okay.
I'm confused...where is the list of servers i can choose from? I never played the Beta so i have no clue.
Pretty sure someone from Zeni (might have been the AMA) said you'd need to sub or enter the code for a 30 day gamecard to get the free month started.
I think the early access gives about 2 or 3 days of "play" after the 4th but take it from the 30 days once you apply a retail code.

There is only 1 megaserver for US and 1 for Europe (selected from the launcher). We ALL play on the same "server" (there will be multiple instances of each zone, your friends list + guilds help the game organise which instance of an area you see). If you group with someone in another instance you will see a marker for their position but won't be able to see or interact with them. Either both walk into another zone or go in the group options and select "travel to" from the right click menu on players name![]()
