Nvidia 570GTX questions

I fell on a really good deal for a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121432 Asus 570gtx that I couldn't resist. I had my mind set on a asus 7850 but I couldn't find one in stock on newegg and amazon had a 2-4 week shipping policy on there's. Anyways I was wondering with a 2500k thats going to be overclocked of course and 8gigs of ram would a Corsair gold 650watt PSU be good enough of should I move up to a seasonic 750gold watt. I haven't messed with Nvidia in a long time so I don't have experience with a 5xx series.

Really should have gone for a Radeon HD 7870 instead of that GTX 570.

As for power, Corsair's AX650 should work perfectly. I'm running the system in my signature(The power draw is close to yours), and using a Kill-a-Watt it doesn't pull more than 430-470 watts from the wall but that was tested with OCCT Stress Test running and Prime95.

Should have power ratings on Nvidia's website, but that card looks like a doozie, I would upgrade the psu anyways just in case.

Nice card, I just bought a GTX 550-ti and this one blows it out of the water. Have fun with it!

Like I said I got it for a really good price that I couldn't resist you probably would have done the same. a 7870 is 140 more then I paid for that 570.

I would have definitely said to go for the 7870 though, the 6970 was already pretty much equal to the 570 and trading blows.... the 7870 is only an improvement. =/

I didn't get the 570gtx off newegg and yeah I really wanted a 7850. With my new build I didn't want to spend over 250 bucks and I got that gtx for 220.

So the corsair 650watt gold should be enough then I'm for sure not going to SLI it. I know the 7850 would have been fine since it's draws less power and I heard that the 5xx series drew a lot of power but I haven't had an nvidia card since the 2xx days.

There is absolutely no reason to change PSU. 650W can run any single cpu and gpu system unless you strap ridiculous amounts of HDDs into it.

Nah I'm just running one ssd and that's it and either 8 or 16 gigs of ram not anymore thou I'm not running any loops or led's its a pretty basic build on air going to overclock the 2500k to around 4.5ish or so.
