So I was looking for wallpapers, and I saw this wallpaper for MW3

So then I thought to myself "Hey, didn't I have a wallpaper for Endwar that used to look just like that?" So I look some more, and sure enough,

After that I thought "Only one of these can be legit..." So I looked up the cover title of Endwar and saw the troop with the same type of head gear,

So at this point I rest my case. They just slapped a recolor on it and the logo on it, and called it theirs.

Is that an official MW3 wallpaper? The lack of Activision logo makes me think it's a fan-made thing.

Source of the wallpaper? Because slapping "Modern Warfare 3" onto anything does not mean that it was intended for Modern Warfare 3 or created by Activision.
Doesn't help your case that there's no Activision logo.

I think someone slapped a filter on the Endwar poster and added a MW3 logo. Just seems a little fan-made, I wouldn't break out the torches and pitchforks quite yet.

EA does the same for ME3 promotion, it shared the exact same shit as some other game (can't remember which the other one was though), just with added Reaper hitting the roof of abandoned building instead of it just sitting there.

Or someone did the PS work themselves and activision had nothing to do with it? Godforbid a game use the same type of headgear or the same type of chopper. Go cry about a game studio you hate somewhere else.

I gotta admit, I was mindblown until I saw the same possibility everyone else did.
Photoshop a Modern Warfare 3 logo on to a picture and it's easy to call BS.
Nice effort though, but until you show some sources for the MW3 wallpaper, I don't think I'll believe it.
Although it wouldn't surprise me.

An official wallpaper by Activision would have their logo or even something belonging to them stamped onto it somewhere, I can almost guarantee that.
I've poked around and one blog that has the endwar picture with the layer tint and the MW3 logo on it also has a lot of other community created stuff.
It's not Activisions.
