    Diablo 3 issues

At first my computer wouldn't even run the installer, I kept getting the error "an unexpected error occurred while updating required files please try again"

I finally got it to install and it was at the "playable" marker on the installation I tried to load it up and it said my computer does not meet system requirements. I finally got it to load and open up but it was going super slow, although the beginning cinematics worked great.

Now its back to not opening, saying the same unexpected error occured while updating required files.

What the heck is going on? I realize my video card is incompatible but why would it run one minute and not the next? Is there anything I can do to get it to run aside from buying a new computer (as that is not an option)

    Here are my specs:

HP G72t-C55DX laptop on Windows 7
Microprocessor 2.00GHz Intel Pentium Processor P6100
    Microprocessor Cache 3MB L3 Cache
    Memory 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM)
    Memory Max 8GB
    Video Graphics Intel HD Graphics
    Video Memory Up to 1696MB
    Hard Drive 500GB (5400RPM)
Multimedia Drive SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support
    Display 17.3” diagonal High Definition+ HP BrightView LED Display (1600 x 900)
    Fax/Modem
Network Card Integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN
    Wireless Connectivity
    802.11b/g/n WLAN
    Sound
    Altec Lansing speakers

Did you actually get to GAMEPLAY, or just the menu screen?

Some low-end computers are having a hard time running the game at all.

    Definitely the Fax/Modem...

But seriously, your video card and processor are probably not able to run the game. It's possible if you load the game you can try switching to the absolute lowest settings on everything. Perhaps turning music off will help.

    from requirements:
Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro or better
    Processor: Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4400+
Ram: 1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB (Vista/7)
OS: Windows® XP/Vista/7 (latest service packs) with DX 9.0c

Why is it hard for people to understand minimum requirements actually mean something.

Intel on-board video is your problem.

I fell into this trap awhile back with a HP Probook that had a good deal. i5 processor, 4gigs of ram, and a Intel HD on-board video they claimed was able to handle heavy 3D rendering. Ya right.... Ended up swapping for the exact same model with the ATI mobile GPU and I was able to run most of my games.

No not the problem. Intel on-board is supported. Mine runs fine.

I bolded the areas that definately need an update for you to smoothly run the game. I had an i5, integrated graphics, and 8gb RAM and my computer was having a hard time running the game.

I lowered the resolution and all video modes to low/off and now its running fine other than being pretty bad quality graphics but hey at least I can play.
