What you have to understand about D3 is that it's MEANT TO BE REPLAYED. Beating it on Normal and saying "well that was stupid, this game sucks and it wasn't even hard" is kinda like watching porn just to see the furniture they're using. You're looking at all the wrong things! Not only do the dungeons have random layouts and mob spawns, but the step up in difficulty from Normal --> Nightmare --> Hell --> Inferno is ridiculous.

As far as it being a MMO v. Not a MMO: While it may not be massive, it does have an online community. You can join public games, or games with your friends. It has an auction house. It's everything that an MMO is, but it lacks the douchebags that would be butt fucking your stash or the BS/JC trainer (which is what I love the most about D3) because they got bored. All the fun, none of the headache in regards to dealing with people.

You do realize those people were going hard for hhoooooooooouuurrrrrrrsssss on end, on top of them being hardcore D2ers way back when, right? possibly even to this day (prior to D3 that is,) lol. It's going to be there for the majority of people.

I didn't grad me to the point that I want to play it all the time. The thing that really shits me about the game is when you get disconnected you have to start that part again, first 2 days I couldn't play it before of all the problems and now this morning i got disconnected and couldn't log back on so I gave up on it.

I was pretty disappointing with how the launch was rather bad with servers down and people unable to login. The predownload files didnt work and i had to redownload the game again. I guess being blizzard and running wow they should be well prepared, so that was a bit of a let down on their behalf.
Sigh... Why do people keep thinking they 'beat' the game just because they beat it on normal mode? You need to understand in Diablo games beating it on normal is only being about 10% done. You've got Nightmare, Hell. Inferno to do. You've got many classes to play, many items to farm, PVP will be in soon and then there's even more to do.

Are you kidding me? Where the hell do you get 90 bucks at for one? And NO ONE. I repeat NO ONE plays Diablo games just for the storyline. If anyone bought it for the storyline only they were just slow in the head. I swear reading these posts makes me think people just bought the game because it was made by Blizzard without knowing a thing about it or if they'd like it.

New games always draw attention for a few weeks, then it goes back to normal. The thought of D3 drawing players from Mmorpgs make no sense, people play D3 for different reasons that they would play an ordinary MMO, neither can give the same experience.
Clear a game once and it's done. Okay, I'll take this info with me in the future.

It's weird people played Diablo 2 for ten years. Or more.

He's probably Australian. Games cost crazy amounts over there for some reason.

The people who beat the game in 6 hours are getting 0 story since they rush through it all. I haven't even been wasting time and I'm only halfway through act 3 and put in over 11 hours already.

Whats wrong with looking at the furniture in a porno ?
I have a fetish about brown Dralon furniture

    lets put things into perspective.

D3 - Multi Player with Single player element and a Large auction house. Maximum 4 people playing the main part of the game. 64 player Battlefield is more MMO than Diablo is or ever will be.

Well if it's Blizzard you have to hate it, like if it's Apple you have to hate it.

You don't even know the game genres so your opinion it's pretty much irrelevant.

I am enjoying it, and that is all that counts. My brother is a massive diablo fan, and I can't wait until he has finished his exams and we can both play through it.

    Remember Skyrim and Battlefield 3?
How many people of those that played it a lot back then still play it AS MUCH now?

    Yep,
same can be said about Diablo 3 in a few months

    Yep, like a rocket...

I bet you 80% of those haters are the ones playing traditional MMORPG's pissing in their pants right now

Of course Diablo 3 is an on line game with a real player economy ... the upcoming and over hyped single server MMO players don't like to see this coming.

    Too late.

Diablo 3 is MUCH better suited to on line play in 2012. No dying single shard servers, no down time, always finding groups in 2 seconds and FUN FAST on line play...
Here we go again, D3 being preached as the MMORPG killer.

And who said that online play in 2012 has to be like that? You?

D3's economy is a joke. Please, trading a bunch of axes and armors is hardly for gold and real money is hardly noteworthy.

MMORPGs have nothing to fear, sheesh, their depth and content alone makes alone all the difference.

You know any other On line game with an economic system and market place of around 500.000 players on one server ?

I'm closing this. This is very similar to threads/posts you've made before, and we don't need any "D3 is killing other games" threads, it will just end badly.
