WoW won't die through competition, so naturally, no game can "kill" WoW.
WoW dies when Blizzard pulls the plug, which they will eventually.
On the topic though - yes, that would be awesome. And I'm not even hoping for another Pokemon Snap, I'd love a full on 3D adventure game set in a pokemon region, complete with battles and whatnot.
if you actually put all the gen 5 and gen 1 pokemon side by side its clear that they were based off gen 1 pokemon. almost every single gen 5 pokemon has an extremely similar pokemon from gen 1 to go with it. gen 5 was meant to be a "reboot" of the franchise a fresh start if you will. if you think the pokemon from gen 5 are childish its simply nostalgia thats keeping you from thinking the same thing about the gen 1 pokemon
nvm im an idiot delete please.

I cried alone every single night. It felt like every day that passed here stole another piece of my real life away. After i cried, I’d go and fight as hard as I could. My only thought was winning, moving forward, and getting stronger. — Asuna Yuuki
The Mystery Dungeon games have been very successful, so has Battle Revolution. Nontraditional Pokémon games are still successful, especially considering that Pokémon is the second highest selling franchise in the world at the moment, only behind Mario.
Pokémon has always been childish, if you're going by that logic you'd have quit as soon as Pokémon like Sunkern and Jumpluff made it into the games. Although Vanilluxe really does looks stupid, atleast Generation 5 is a lot better than Generation 4, which was all about gods.
