Dick figures are planning to make a movie but are asking for donations because no Hollywood studio would ever possibly make it. They've got a 5 minute preview clip up on youtube. They want 250k for a 30 min special 500k to make it an hour and 700k to make a 90 min movie. Initially I thought it sounded like a lot for what it is, but when you figure 50k to cover kickstarter rewards that leaves 200k to fund the film, they have 15 animators who would be working on it for 6 months, which work out to like 13.5k per person for 6 months work . . . sounds like bugger all to me. even looking at the hour long version that would be 27k for 6 months work (before taxes) which still isn't that much.

I have already donated a little . . . surprised that someone else has donated 5k for the 5k reward.

What is everyone else's thoughts on this project? Do you reckon they'll get enough?
