    Sure they could, but why would they want to?

    It makes no sense, except if your objective is simply to spite people who stocked up for MoP.

    Yeah, no... they won't. It will be exactly the same as graying out every single profession material. Inscription is a special prof since a 50p craft is useful to a max level char, but still, it will be the same as graying out illusion dust or mithril ore. Plus I doubt it will be a great idea to leave monks and other classes paying 800g per glyph till the mop herbs are common. I'm more worried about them shutting down the game before MoP than them graying out low level materials.

    The vast majority of the new glyphs in MoP are just renamed ones from live.

    If you have it on live, you'll have it in MoP.

    There are only a handful of completely new glyphs and those require the new ink, save for just a couple of them.
