If I remember the BWE correctly, when you transmute an item it retains the name of the visual side, not that stat side. You you could drop higher stats on it and it would keep the name.

(Just test on something else first )

I did a bit of jeweling in the beta and can answer this. Transmogrifying gemstones is turning them into the next 'level' of gemstones.
e.g. turning a level 25 gemstone and some materials into level 35 gemstones.

There's several types of special bags by the way, you've listed two. From the top of my head there's also one that'll prefer vendor greys.

Well I'm making an assumption I didn't realize I was making when I said that
I personally only realized that neck jewelery is modeled (as opposed to other games where they're just stat items and don't visually appear on your character) when I was looking at my screenshots after BWE2, so I assume you should be able to at least transmute them.

here the possibilities up to lv.35:
-) craftsman packs: stores crafting materials before all others
-) equipment packs: weapons & armor
-) oiled bag: junk items
-) invisible box/bag: items won't appear at vendors, won't move from position

-) empty coin purse: 1slot bag

You buy that from Moa Trainer Kappa after you escort her to Beetletun. In BWE1 the egg was bugged and the dance happened really fast. I forgot to report it in game, and by the time I went to report it on the forums they were locked. Then for BWE2 I completely forgot about it. I'll have to follow it up next beta.
