Then why does anyone even play anything other than WoW? :P
Then why does anyone even play anything other than WoW? :P
why is the sky blue, why are some ppl poor, why why why. maybe because some ppl prefer one thing, and others prefer something else?
if i were to hedge a guess at the main reason, time investment. pouring years of your life into one facet of gaming tends to make you feel inclined to cling to it.
lets not derail it any further though, keep it to request a game, and make a new thread discussing the various differences between mmos if you want to hash it out more. yes there are many, but in the grand scheme of things they are very similar in their overall goals.

I have played a game called 'Silkroad' long ago. The archer setup had skills that felt... good.

The current MMOs / arpgs that I have tried (GW2 /ESO / FF14 / D3 / POE / AA) feel meh, and some of them silly (ESO archer skills animation & movement while shooting the bow seam insulting/retarded).
Let me know if you have any suggestions that may fill my desire to pew pew stuff with bows, thx.

I stopped playing WoW because the combat wasn't engaging enough.
Games like Vindictus, Warframe, Firefall, Elderscrolls Online, Neverwinter Online, and I am hoping EQN based off how good EQL's combat is just more fun second to second, for me.
I mean, a lot of playing MMOs is doing repeatitive things like dailies and quests. If I can't enjoy doing those then I am not going to play and the only way I can enjoy them is if I am enjoying the game play.

Warframe.
Paris Prime is a puncture bow where you can pin multiple enemies to walls and shit.
Or, if you get lucky, you can get a Dread which is a slash, decapitation bow (it's my fav!)
(Warframe) - Dragon & Typhoon-
(Neverwinter) - Trickster Rogue & Guardian Fighter -
Any1 that can vouch for CS:GO? Kinda into pvp shooters atm and went through Ghost Recon Phantoms, Blacklight: Retribution, TF2 and am now sitting on Warface.
Out of all those i didn't like TF2, it feels too "arcady" for my tastes. The problem with Ghost Recon Phantoms and Warface is the cash shop keeps creeping into gameplay in every system in those games. Gun rentals, revive tokens, better weapons for $$$ etc. Blacklight was really cool, but theres so little people playing it on PC because devs abandoned the game for over a year. Obviously i'd rather play F2P, money is tight atm and can't really play games like Planetside 2, CoD or BF on my low budget PC.
That said, CS:GO will run well on my pc judging by system requirements and its relatively cheap. Seems like alot of people play it too which is nice. How does the gameplay feel? I like that "weight" that modern shooters like CoD have, Blacklight and Warface also felt like that.

im currently having a lot of fun with cs:go at the moment, so yeah id say go for it.
it has been a while though since i have either played cod or blacklight though, but from what i remember the guns handle smoother in those, thats not to say they handle bad in CS, they just handle differently, probably in a more skill requiring manner, though you can always just buy pro90 and spray and win
I really thought I asked a question in the past few days but I can't find the post....
I'm looking for an MMO to play that doesn't require a huge time sink at max level (if there is one). Any recommendations at all would be cool and I'll do research myself.
im about to get the definitive edition, but crysis 3 was pretty BA too.

from what i've been told GW2 doesnt really have any max level content(a couple world bosses). almost everything scales so its just people constantly rerolling toons with friends doing random content at what ever level they want.
You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
Do you know any good browser base game?
I do not have any time at home to play, so I sometimes play at work, but I can't install anything due to corporate account limitation :/
I've just registered at HOSS MMO/ and so far I like it - it's still beta, so it's not so crowded and staff is very helpful.
I can't play games like quake, cause need something slower - so in general, just to stick to the rules:
1) web based game
2) can't be too fast and too demanding (for time)
3) not much popular game (I don't like to start on 239203920 place :/)
4) storyline is in medevil times
does anyone knows something like that?
Hi guys,
I need a coop game to play with my roommate, we haven't tried any yet, fps, action or rpg all would be fine.

i will never forgive you for this blizzard.

Hey, probably heard this before but im looking for a new MMORPG to play. I know what I want and im starting to suspect it will be a niche game iv not heard of, but im sure its out there. Im looking for a darker MMO, something a bit more tragic and bloody, with less bright colours and bunny rabbit races. That being said I do enjoy high fantasy/scifi the most. Im pretty open to different types of combat, whether its the classic stand and spam a button rotation, or something alot more mobile. The most important thing is a good community with strong guild features and players that will hang about for a while. Ideally it would be an MMO that is a bit newer with a stable player base, doesnt have to be a Triple A game and I dont mind paying a subscription. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

So the other night my new girlfriend asked me to bring over an extra 360 controller, but we didn't end up playing anything because the only multiplayer game we had on tap was Call of Duty and apparently FPS's give her headaches and motion sickness (and really, I've been FPSing since Doom, so I am eternally bored of the genre)
Our platform options are either Xbox 360 (she has a kinect) or PC (but my laptop sucks, AMD A4 APU, so it can do intense graphics if it has to, but it just doesn't do it well.)
So I'm just wondering if there's any games for either 360 or PC which aren't terrible expensive, aren't first person shooters, that are multiplayer and preferably invoke a lot of external reaction from the people playing them.
Thanks!

But, you have a 360, so you should be safe-ish...

Does she also have a laptop? You make it sound like PC games are acceptable, but the only way to Co-Op 'really' is to have two PCs. In that regard, there are toooons of steam games that would be great. Terraria, Trine 2, etc. You could check out a list of them on Steam by browsing CoOp games.
Many of those same games are also on the Xbox arcade iirc, but I don't use an Xbox so that is 2nd hand info from my brother.
