    Looking for good rpg

So i am looking for good rpg, i cannot simply find it.
I am not interested in open wolrds like skyrim, fallout 3( at the moment have enought of modding games), more story intensive like mars wars logs, gothic, risen.
I played kotor, kotor 2, mass effects, sw tor ( despite being an mmo), witcher games, dragon age games.
I am more interested in third person games, and no survival games please.
    Thanks in advance

Give Undertale a shot, It's got really good story, really nice battle system. Only thing that can be really off putting for some people by it is that it goes for the "retro look", but in my opinion does it really well. It's on steam, it's not that expensive (10.99CAD). So take a swing at it.

There is one problem, i never liked this kind of games, which are going for retro style. What exactly is retro.
First legacy of Kain looked better and it was made near the end of 90's.

I know you said you preferred third person games but what about isometric view games such as Baldur's Gate? There are a few newer ones out now such as Pillar's of Eternity, Divinity: Original Sin, Wasteland 2 that are quite good

I played isometric games since BG. PoE tale seems too grim at least for my tastes, D:OS everything looks good but the combat seems meh ( the game is too much on rails, one level makes so much difference, especially when you fight a large group of mobs, maybe they fixed it now, but those are my feeling when i played it).
I bought WS II when it came out, i even got ranger edition from local shop, and i didn't like it. Waited for directors cut and it was 1000% better, but i am done with it.
I do not know, how to say it but that game i just isn't made for multi playthroughts at least for me, strange that i played mass effect like 4 or 5 times every game.
So yeah, i have played them all but thanks for the effort. Much appreciated.

I would recommend the Shadowrun games if you haven't given them a go yet. Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall are around $15 each on Steam right now (or you can wait for a sale if you want to save a few bucks....I got Dragonfall for $3 during the Halloween sale), and Shadowrun: Hong Kong is $20. Shadowrun in general has a "cyberpunk meets fantasy" theme, and I really enjoy it.

My only complaint with the Shadowrun games is that they're all kinda short for RPGs, but you can get a lot of replay value out of them.

    Hello friends,

Built a gaming PC recently. Played through Witcher 3 and GTAV and thoroughly enjoyed both.

I'm looking for something new, and being in Canada and games being $80+ here, I dont splurge as I used to.

Anyway, Im debating between Battlefront that just came out and Black Ops III.

Mainly want a shooter with a big community and just to run around and kill stuff.

I just have heard mixed things regarding bugs and performance. So just want to be safe and buy the one that is a better experience.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

Blacks Ops 3 hands down. Battlefront is fun, but CoD will have a strong community at least until the next game comes out, while I feel like Battlefront will be dead within a couple months. Plus, COD has always been the best "I just want to run around and kill stuff" shooter around.

I would suggest Final Fantasy Tactics (Playstation Network), Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and FFTA2 (both on DS), and Bravely Default for 3DS (Final Fantasy Tactics spiritual successor).

If you enjoy the Final Fantasy Tactics universe, I would urge you to play Final Fantasy XII as well, as it takes place in the far past of that world and really fleshes out the setting. Ivalice is half of what makes the games fun.

    hi there,
I have quited WoW like ~4 years ago, but I do miss pvp open world - I got lots of fun playing with my rogue, trolling in open map or ganking in city, I really miss that times. Once cap lvl was increased, I decided there is no place for myself, grinding all over, doing shitty quest etc
so here is my question I am really looking for something which is very close to that system, I dont like GW2. i am looking forward to play black desert, but as far as I can see those penalties for PKing are bacisly plain stupid.
I am hoping that someone from the community might give some nice hint, I would be much obliged for doing so.
I do not like freeware games, since they might dissapear any moment, not to mention no support/cheat issues.

Archeage will be your best bet right now. It's far from perfect, but if you have a good guild and can invest a lot of time ... there is really no other game out there like it. If it were developed and published by better, smarter people it could have been HUGE. It might still scratch that itch though.

    Hello guys!

I'm looking for a game of Open World Fantasy* RPG genre. I would pick WoW, GW2 as examples however they have one big flaw. They're MMO. I'm really sick of all online play so the game has to be single player. I also prefere the game where you have single character to operate than whole team. Also combat has to be action based not turn based (ex. skyrim, wow, gw2). Also I dont want another Diablo clone (Titan Quest, Path of Exile, Sacred, etc). The universe does not concern me. It would be cool if graphics are newer than older however its not decisive condition.

I have a bit old PC but it has no problems with GTAV or Fallout 4 so I belive its strong enough for any game atm.

    * Fantasy - not sure if proper word - you know, orcs, swords, magic etc. not guns and space ships (ex. Skyrim is the thing, Fallout is not).

    • I have already beaten Skyrim (about 300h~) with tons of mods.
    • All TES games are out, played them several times and got bored already.
    • Witcher 3 (v1.11) is totaly unplayable for me right now (unkillable npcs bugs etc).
    • I have Beaten SW:KOTOR series, Dragon Age series, Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Pillars of Eternity series, Divinity: The Original Sin, Neverwitner Nigiths series, Sword Coast Legends, Might & Magic series, Darksouls 2 (with all dlc), Diablo series, Titan Quest, Witcher 1/2, Torchligh 1/2, Fable series, Child of Light, and probably many more that dont come to my mind atm.

Have hope you'll find something for me, thanks!

I'd suggest Kingdoms of Amalur: Recknoning; it's being sold for $20 on Steam atm.

I have been enjoying Star Wars Battlefront. A really great game! If anyone is considering it, absolutely worth it.

Hey guys, I just finished witcher 3. Are there any good games out there that are like the witcher 3. (besides fallout 4)

Kingdoms of Amalur: Recknoning is similar in gameplay, not so much in tone (it's blatantly an idealistic high fantasy as compared to the low fantasy of Witcher). Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim also fits the bill, though it's first person and less action packed, but of similar tone (on the more cynical, grittier end of the high fantasy spectrum). The advantage of Skyrim is that it has one of gaming greatest modding communities and hundreds of quality mods to enhance and expand the experience on PC.

Already played Skyrim a lot but I will check Kingdoms of amalur: reckoning. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hi Camplify,

You didn't specify what part of the Witcher you want a game like. If it is more for the RPG side and/or questing/open world I would suggest looking into the Dragon Age series and Pillars of Eternity (perhaps Divinity: Original Sin as well but I personally enjoyed that far less). The combat is rather different though so you may want to check out videos first in case you are really not into the team combat mechanics. If you find you like the "old school" then a lot of the classics become then open to you.

So Fallout 4 but have you played the previous ones? What about Elder Scrolls Oblivion? Assassins Creed? Though yes not really a RPG but it has "actioney" combat and some exploration stuff. Just as a curve ball what about Guild Wars 2?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new sandbox mmo to play. I've played archeage and enjoyed it for quite a bit but I'm looking for something new, but similar. Looking for something that has good crafting systems and player driven economies. If anyone can recommend something I would appreciate it.

**Ive heard of black desert, might check that out once it's released, but I am still looking for other suggestions!
