so here is my question I am really looking for something which is very close to that system, I dont like GW2. i am looking forward to play black desert, but as far as I can see those penalties for PKing are bacisly plain stupid.
I am hoping that someone from the community might give some nice hint, I would be much obliged for doing so.
I do not like freeware games, since they might dissapear any moment, not to mention no support/cheat issues.
Archeage will be your best bet right now. It's far from perfect, but if you have a good guild and can invest a lot of time ... there is really no other game out there like it. If it were developed and published by better, smarter people it could have been HUGE. It might still scratch that itch though.

    Hello guys!

I'm looking for a game of Open World Fantasy* RPG genre. I would pick WoW, GW2 as examples however they have one big flaw. They're MMO. I'm really sick of all online play so the game has to be single player. I also prefere the game where you have single character to operate than whole team. Also combat has to be action based not turn based (ex. skyrim, wow, gw2). Also I dont want another Diablo clone (Titan Quest, Path of Exile, Sacred, etc). The universe does not concern me. It would be cool if graphics are newer than older however its not decisive condition.

I have a bit old PC but it has no problems with GTAV or Fallout 4 so I belive its strong enough for any game atm.

    * Fantasy - not sure if proper word - you know, orcs, swords, magic etc. not guns and space ships (ex. Skyrim is the thing, Fallout is not).

    • I have already beaten Skyrim (about 300h~) with tons of mods.
    • All TES games are out, played them several times and got bored already.
    • Witcher 3 (v1.11) is totaly unplayable for me right now (unkillable npcs bugs etc).
    • I have Beaten SW:KOTOR series, Dragon Age series, Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Pillars of Eternity series, Divinity: The Original Sin, Neverwitner Nigiths series, Sword Coast Legends, Might & Magic series, Darksouls 2 (with all dlc), Diablo series, Titan Quest, Witcher 1/2, Torchligh 1/2, Fable series, Child of Light, and probably many more that dont come to my mind atm.

Have hope you'll find something for me, thanks!

I'd suggest Kingdoms of Amalur: Recknoning; it's being sold for $20 on Steam atm.

I have been enjoying Star Wars Battlefront. A really great game! If anyone is considering it, absolutely worth it.

Hey guys, I just finished witcher 3. Are there any good games out there that are like the witcher 3. (besides fallout 4)

Kingdoms of Amalur: Recknoning is similar in gameplay, not so much in tone (it's blatantly an idealistic high fantasy as compared to the low fantasy of Witcher). Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim also fits the bill, though it's first person and less action packed, but of similar tone (on the more cynical, grittier end of the high fantasy spectrum). The advantage of Skyrim is that it has one of gaming greatest modding communities and hundreds of quality mods to enhance and expand the experience on PC.

Already played Skyrim a lot but I will check Kingdoms of amalur: reckoning. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hi Camplify,

You didn't specify what part of the Witcher you want a game like. If it is more for the RPG side and/or questing/open world I would suggest looking into the Dragon Age series and Pillars of Eternity (perhaps Divinity: Original Sin as well but I personally enjoyed that far less). The combat is rather different though so you may want to check out videos first in case you are really not into the team combat mechanics. If you find you like the "old school" then a lot of the classics become then open to you.

So Fallout 4 but have you played the previous ones? What about Elder Scrolls Oblivion? Assassins Creed? Though yes not really a RPG but it has "actioney" combat and some exploration stuff. Just as a curve ball what about Guild Wars 2?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new sandbox mmo to play. I've played archeage and enjoyed it for quite a bit but I'm looking for something new, but similar. Looking for something that has good crafting systems and player driven economies. If anyone can recommend something I would appreciate it.

**Ive heard of black desert, might check that out once it's released, but I am still looking for other suggestions!

So...I've now played through the 3 Shadowrun games that I can find on Steam (Returns, Dragonfall, and Hong Kong). Just finished Hong Kong and have already done multiple playthroughs of Returns and Dragonfall, and I can't get enough. Is anything remotely similar out there? I really love the "cyberpunk meets fantasy" theme, and I love how dialogue heavy/character driven the Shadowrun games are.

I did see some other Shadowrun game on Steam called Shadowrun Chronicles, but it looks....I don't know, different from what I'm used to. Not sure if I'd like it or not.

Shadowrun is unique in the "cyberpunk meets fantasy" theme. Transistor is the only thing I can think of that is remotely close, being an action-adventure game with an emphasis on story and is about a girl with a sword in a futuristic/cyberpunk setting, which is to say that there is really nothing similar to Shadowrun.

Gameplay wise, X-Com and CRPGs such as Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, and Pillars of Eternity are similar in story telling and gameplay.

Shadowrun Chronicles is from a different developer, unlike the three you mentioned which are all from Harebrained. I honestly can't tell you if it's good, but it was renamed from Shadowrun Online, so I expect it to have some sort of focus on online gameplay.

I'm getting a PS4 for Christmas, so I need some suggestions for what the best games are. I mostly prefer singleplayer, but having a multiplayer mode as an extra is a nice plus to kill some more time.

    What should I buy?

    out of 200, I'm down to 64.93!

I'm at a stalemate between getting the fallout 4 season pass for 20$ or DA:I and all the DLC on origins instead! halp!

EVE maybe? :P I can't think of many MMOs that have very good economic systems.
While you live, shine / Have no grief at all / Life exists only for a short while / And time demands its toll.

EVE also comes to mind, but know that you'll mostly be looking at a user interface for the vast majority entirety of gameplay. Don't go in expecting anything particularly flashy. Also, getting started is challenging because of the long time it takes to train up (read: wait on a RL timer for days at a time) the essential skills, which can take up to 4-6 months to finish before you can really begin to enjoy it.

GW2 is the absolute closest you will get to a KoA:R MMORPG. Great thing is that it's gone F2P, so you can demo out the vanilla content if you'd like.

Got the witcher 3 yet? if not, that'd be a better choice than DA:I.
