Gave up on beta with this wipe. They wiped it now and plan to wipe it again in 14 days or so to release it a week or two later. Really not going to burn my self out leveling twice in 2-3 weeks to reach end game with shit gear not being able to test end game again.
Horrible decision imo.

Well, it does look like they made some pretty big changes with status effects and leech, which they probably want to see how that effects all levels. It looks like they also affected a number of item mods, which most likely required the wipe.
Exiles Everywhere league this weekend. Thank you Christ Wilson.

Indeed! I'll be playing all weekend for sure.
Eh. I don't know about new Arctic Armor. It's like more armor but like not? This is kinda bad.
Lets hope that they will be able to release it around July 10. :3

I dug this EE event till I discovered it was a void league.

I thoroughly enjoyed the EE event, I just wish I could have put more time into it (super busy weekend). I didn't know it was going to be a void league, but when I found out it did not affect my fun factor. I ended up viewing this like I would a custom league (if they ever show up), just without all the option I would have wanted.Dropping into the void, while not ideal, isn't anything I am against (and would expect from a custom league, tbh).
I got to 62, Vaal ruins merciless, until I got bored. Even killing rogues in 3 heavy strikes and permastunning everything to death was fun for a while but it gets tedious when you can't possibly take more than 2 at once. And, amazingly enough, in spite of the rivers of yellows and the hundreds of rings and necks I identified, I never managed to get a single decent item. Had to spend like 9 points in my passive tree just on resists and still had mediocre cold resist. Did find a Voidbringer right before I quit, highlight of the league. Doesn't help that my noobie leveling partner died in a1m.
I think it would be really fun as a longer league with poe.trade working. Should be easy for most people to complete any build they want with the massive global drops and would give people a chance to experiment with things they might never get to otherwise. But, when it came down to 16 hours left in a void league, grinding out an extra few levels just to say I did didn't feel worth my time. Still would've made top 100 if I really cared, without even having played all that religiously, so it should have been easy for any dedicated non-beta player to get a key from this race.

New buffs to old uniques. Too bad most of them are still pretty trash tier
Hyrri's might become a legitimate choice for a chest, though.

Probably last major announcement before the expansion. Magma orb especially looks promising, I'm almost in tears as someone who has been wanting a decent fire spell for yearsHere's to hoping it isn't fireball 2.0! Flame dash also looks great, hopefully it will be the teleport I always wanted instead of lame warp!
Again, I feel like the HC and SC challenge leagues should be swapped. Warbands in HC seems awesome if you had to leverage the risk of seeking/tracking the warband in an area vs. reward. While global zone effects seem more fair to the softcore league.

Nice trailer, some interesting new skills I hadn't seen yet, and some of the uniques look interesting. I'll have to force myself to trade for that bow on my Ranger-Summoner.
This time I disagree. I'm happy the HC league is something that isn't centered around surprise anal. We obviously don't know how hard warbands or tempests can be, but warbands give me terrible flashbacks of invasion in a hardcore league. I'm sure you would just love to walk into Kaom's arena just to encounter a pack of 6 elite mobs all casting ice spells. With tempests, you should get some warning and be able to make the decision to fight or run, which is something hardcore does need. I'm all for difficulty, but slaughtering players just because is lame. Warbands, on the other hand, can be vastly overtuned in softcore to the point where only the best players can kill them at all and they drop fountains of loot. We'll see if that's the case (I doubt it), but the opportunity is there.
It really depends on the execution; either might be well suited for either, since we really don't know the specifics. I for one, am just looking to start fresh and see how they've changed the overall experience. Either way, they will probably do what they did last time for Bloodlines and Torment, which is to say the NEXT league will be a combination of the two. So hardcore adults will get their hardcore, and softcore kids will get their softcore fun. Personally I've never touched hardcore in PoE because of the terrible de-sync, but maaaaybe, juuuust maaaaybe, it's time to kick it up a notch with Awakening and Lockstep. Only time will tell.
On a side note, I haven't participated in the beta at all, so this will all be a fresh experience for me. I kind of of feel bad for those who have been running through beta content after beta content patch, as not everything will feel new and as cool. Oh well!
No offense to diablo 3 players/likers, but I just couldn't get into it after adoring diablo 2. I haven't even bought the expansion pack. That combined with the fact that the competition is free to play...well its hard to compare imo. /opinions.
PoE players seem to be pretty different then hardcore D3 players.
You're a towel.
