So I started a templar with arc totems, and now I cant stop playing because I love the way these totems are working. Arc totems feel so much better than old school fire totems. Its like they have three times the range of a fire and things explode on contact.
Man, I am just not having a good time with this league. The flow just feels shitty. Grind azurite for upgrades, go back to maps for sulphite, go and hunt down more azurite. Exploring the darkness feels all around garbage... I dunno.
"It's 2013 and I still view the internet on a 560x192 resolution monitor!"
Yeah... I think the problem is, upgrading doesn't FEEL like upgrading, it feels like desperately trying to keep up with the depth based negative modifiers. It's not like upgrades, it's like REPAIRS.
If they decided to bake this into the main game (and they should) they should find a way to make upgrades actually make you feel stronger, rather than make it feel like you have to upgrade, to feel the same as you did before.

I'd have to agree. I mean, I like the overall idea and experience of the Delve, but it could use some more refinement. It feels like your spending azurite just to stay afloat, exploring is pitiful and unrewarding, and it doesn't help that you need to grind outside the Delve just so you can go back to grinding in the Delve. I can't imagine how pointless Delve would be if it gets folded into the core game; with how sparse the sulphite nodes will be you'd Delve what, once every 50-100 maps, in hopes you can get an upgrade to break even? Meh. I do like the League, but it needs more work to improve the feel and flow.
Yep. I do not like the execution of this stuff. I find that I need to just grind horizontally for azurite in order to pretend like I can do something other than rush to the end pop all the buttons, then get nothing useful. I love the idea/aesthetic....just doesn't play well right now.
BAD WOLF
But that's the problem. It doesn't always roll into the main part of the game. The Beastiary stuff got all but scrapped. The Exalted Orb Shards, et. al, got mostly scrapped. I don't see the last league being implemented, either. If all of that stuff eventually just rolled into the base game, sure, I would be OK with having to wait several months. But most of it doesn't. So I can't enjoy the content they're actually adding because I have become well established in the old and stale content that rarely sees any updates.
Masters will be reworked for 3.5 patch, I have a feeling last 3 leagues will be rolled into new master system. Honestly, both Bestiary and Delve needed at least 2 weeks polish, little things add up to the feeling of unnecessary clunkiness.
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2237779What we're working on.
We are halfway through Path of Exile: Delve and so we wanted to give you an update on what to expect for the remaining weeks before we launch our next expansion!
Last week we deployed Patch 3.4.3e which contained a few bug fixes and some minor improvements to Delve. We are likely to have small bug fix patches in future but most of our intended significant changes to the league have now been deployed.
The development team is currently focusing on Content Update 3.5.0 which we expect to launch on the first week of December. This means we'll be announcing the full details of what to expect from this expansion three weeks prior, around November 9th. It's slightly larger in size than Bestiary, Incursion or Delve.
This time around we won't be running a Flashback (or similar) event for the last month of the league. Player retention during Delve has been excellent, and due to the infinite nature of the mine, we'd like players to be able to continue their progress in the existing league without having to weigh up whether or not they'd prefer to swap to an alternate event in parallel.
Having said that, we are working on something small that is separate to existing/future leagues and we may be able to talk about it soon.
aw no Flashback League. time to start playing regular delve then.
I find that over the past several leagues my interest in the game has dropped like a stone. It's not the gameplay which kills my interest or the seasonal content but it's playing through 10 fucking acts of mind-numbingly boring content for each and every character. It was neat the first couple of times when they pushed out the five extra acts but now it's just such a slog that by the time I hit Act 5 it's a mental battle of attrition.
I used to make tons of alts in each league but now I burn out before I can push a second character through the story.
Right now my biggest hope is that they take the Delve "endless dungeon" system and introduce an adventure mode akin to the one found in Diablo 3 to work in tandem to level. Award the quest rewards at the appropriate levels and just let players grind right out of the gate rather than endure the story.
I doubt this'll ever happen but it may be the only way I can really get back in to the game...
A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon.
I am on the same boat, gave up on the game for a good couple of years, came back for Perandus cause of Ascendancies, then came back for Breach, and played till Incursion and i am completely burned out, didnt even manage level 40 for Delve, i simply cant bother knowing it will be the same cycle of White maps, yellow maps, use all my currency, nope no red maps, too bad!
Its not that i dont enjoy the farming, but leveling 10 acts...only to reach level 90 before even red maps cause i aint bad and i know the game and my builds are good enough for clearing, only to re-do the same stuff, maps wont drop etc etc.
They really need to get their head out of their ass and start improving the game on the older stuff.
There is no reason to have to level with the acts if you did it before.
There is no reason maps are still inaccessible and based on drop rate.
Using currency for the maps...
Yes it was a great idea when PoE had 5 systems in place, now that it was 30 systems and they keep adding more stuff every 3 months..
And many similar things that simply have gotten boring and repetitive.

I'm surprised, I stopped after like 2-3 weeks in, Delve might have an infinite dungeon, but it totally lacks variety. And it feels like they're still trying to get the right balance for sulphite and all, every time I look back at current state of Delve it feels like everything changed since previous time I looked o.oPlayer retention during Delve has been excellent
Oh, hi.
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2244254Announcing three Upcoming Announcements
A couple of weeks ago we posted an update about what we're working on. Since then, we have managed to lock down a final announcement date and launch date for the upcoming 3.5.0 expansion. These are a week or so later than they'd normally be, so we feel it is important to let you know the dates now so you can plan around them.
In New Zealand time:
- November 5th: Announce Experimental New Feature (Not Royale)
- November 6th: Another (non-3.5.0) Announcement
- November 14th: 3.5.0 Expansion Announcement
- December 4th: Delve League Ends
- December 8th: 3.5.0 Expansion Launch (this is December 7th in US/EU)
You'll note that this timeline means that we'll have an extra week to complete challenges in the Delve League. The announcement date is also a week or so out from when we originally anticipated. This is because the scope of the expansion is pretty significant, larger than the Bestiary, Incursion or Delve releases.
In the coming weeks, we'll be posting a lot of new information that pertains to both the expansion and other elements of Path of Exile. As always, we can't wait to share what we've been working on!

I've been wanting the Private Leagues since it was announced (years and years ago), but I'm hoping they add some more interesting options over time. I'd love to see a variety or Race/Map mods available to these Leagues.

I'm not talking about League Mods, those need to stay as Zana Map Mods and Legacy Events. Looking over the Race Mods, it does look like many of those added additional rewards, and the ones that do not have already been picked for Private League Mods like Famine, Brutal, Turbo. I think Ancestral, Multiple Projectile, and No Portals could be added without causing issues. I do think a variety of Map Mods could also prove interesting, without adding additional rewards; things like Splitting, Unstoppable, Conflagrating, Unwavering, of Venom, of Power/Frenzy/Endurance, of Flames/Lightning/Ice/Desecration, of Toughness, etc.
Short question from a filthy casual who quit poe years ago because he did not want to play a game that required Filters for the loot(drops were so abundant that a file had to be configured in order to see anything good in the clutter) : has that changed/will it be different on ps4?
