Hmm, go too far in a bad skill tree and it can be costly. You get some respec points through the campaign and can use other regret orbs. That's really the main thing that can costly, gear can be swapped accordingly.
What you don't want is to finish the campaign (which can be done with trash builds) get into mapping and realize how squish your toon is.
The wise wolf who's pride is her wisdom isn't so sharp as drunk.
So with all the changes that have happened since I last played, and in prep for the new changes coming, I was going to hop in and start playing again. This process also included updating one of the build guides I made on the official forums. However, while I can edit my main post, I am unable to make a new comment on it, nor can I reply to anybody. It says I don't have permission. My account isn't locked or anything, I can make posts in other threads just fine. Just not in one that I authored. Anyone have an idea as to why, or if there's a way to fix it? The thread isn't locked, to my knowledge, someone made a post in it I believe last month.

Eh. Give it a few months, typically every major expansion/patch they give us free respecs anyway. I just logged in the other day for the first time in about 4 months and all of my characters had been reset. I've never used regret orbs for anything other than a minor tweak here and there.

Sadly, stash tabs and mtx are completely separate between accounts, not sure if GGG support offers transfers between versions.

No problem. Only thing that really sucks is if you have been playing for years and also spent some money for stash tabs and MTX, as you wont have those on the other platforms obviously. But if you wanted to start fresh anyways, I guess its a good time to choose one of the consoles.. otherwise you can still just create a completely new account on the PC version aswell

Oh man...I know that's going to be in the cash shop but hot damn does that look great.
GGG freakin kills it with their cosmetic items.
Lancing Steel and Shattering Steel look really lame.

Well. Doesn't this put pepper in the gumbo.

I haven't played PoE in many many years.
At the time there was some major desync issues, has it been sorted since?
I wanna give it another whirl.

They added lockstep wich eliminated desync, assuming you can actually use it.
Desync wasn't really a problem with the game, it was a latency issue, and a lot of people were playing on shit connections coupled with poor playstyle (trying to sprint through packs of monsters etc).
IF your connection is still giving you a latency of 100ms regularly it defaults to predictive sync (desync mode)
If you are under 100ms then you should be defaulted to lockstep
Any lag spikes/packet loss in lockstep is VERY noticeable as it causes the game to freeze/stutter until the connection catches up.
I have a crappy internet and I only experience some minor rubberbanding once in a while. Seems to be mostly fixed now.
