Well, current league mechanics are guaranteed in every map or something IIRC (at least after a certain point). I actually don't mind that, it's the fact that there are so many league mechanics stacked on top of each other that it's very hard to really focus on what you want unless you buy a ton of scrabs to force master spawns on maps.
I'd love to see them let players pick which leagues mechanics they want to spawn, or at least a priority list or something. If you want to spend a weekend in Delve? Go for it. A few weeks with Beastiary spawns? Rad. But as it is now the league mechanics each feel pretty diluted. It's not a bad problem to have, but it's still a problem.

Awful league. I figured that regardless of what they do by opening up the end game to several different options with Delve, mapping and the Syndicate that there'd be a good base line for all to enjoy in the event that they throw out a weak league but this really is something to behold. I can't think of any other which has turned me off as fast as this one.
Scarabs shouldn't even be walled behind the Syndicate anymore since they essentially function as league stones. Balance is fucked. You need a degree in calculus to understand the bleed mechanic. Crafting league which punishes your inventory so RIP actual F2P players with limited stash space. 99.9% junk from Synthesized items. Sacrificed the efficiency and enjoyment of the other end game options. Not worth a damn to set up and especially farm.
Hopefully when it ends we'll forget it ever happened much like Cavas and his memories. If it goes baseline then that's a huge hit to the game in its current state.
Make 3.7 a simple Breach: the Beyond league and use it as way to completely unfuck what Synthesis did.

A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon.
Honestly, there's no real reason to. Take a build that someone theorycrafted into the dirt, and modify it to your liking. All of my characters are based off of builds I found on the forums, but none of them are 100% identical. Unless you're one of those players that wants to min-max, do billions of DPS, drop shaper in 5 seconds, the builds you find have a lot of leeway on what you can do with them. As long as you stick to the core of the build, you can then just build around it.
For me, I prefer getting most of my ele res from the skill tree rather than spending the currency for triple res items and such, so I will sacrifice DPS nodes and what not so that I can hit any +all res nodes along the way. So I lose a couple thousand damage, but I can still rape all of the maps I run normally, so I don't care. I doubt I will ever take on Shaper/Elder, and I can clear up to T13, maybe T14, haven't played in a while sorry, with all of my characters. That's fine enough for me.
Welp, messing around with my little aurabot dude and surprisingly got him up and running for the most part just over the past few days. Rolling 11 auras deep in support mode with 6K ES (working on that), but swapping a few things around I'm pretty easily running T12+ solo too, and pretty quickly.
Build didn't have shit for sustain outside of decent ES regen so I tossed a Mark of Warlord ring on I had and took the LL -> ES Leach node and hot damn. Mainly rolling with Dominating Blow (swapped out Smite for Fortify support which has helped me not die despite losing damage) and while it's not as lulzy as say my molten ball jug it's pretty damn functional.
Now I've just gotta spend a bunch of time 6 linking my chest, getting the right colors so I do way more damage, and finishing getting the last few levels and minor upgrades. This odd aurabot/facetank/summoner build is probably the most fun I've had playing in a long while, it's pretty much my ideal playstyle.

Using this as the basis for my build.

Synthesis node, looks like. If you plan properly you can get a ludicrous number of mods on it similar to map crafting. Basically it's the kind of shit that should be showering you in loot/currency given the amount of investment it takes. Otherwise you may as well just spend all that prep time running high level maps or something.
Most of those modifiers don't really provide any special chances at 'real' loot if you read them. On top of that, only 85% quantity and 47% rarity. Seems to be no correlation with #of affixes and loot generating stats. I don't think that problem is correlated with this specific season.
BAD WOLF

Holy poop, I didn't know they added in an ES Leech support gem this league. That's going to be super helpful for my build at various times, can either swap out some personal damage for more sustain or drop my minion damage boost for more sustain. Should be helpful when I'm aurabotting and not doing much damage, but damn if my minions don't occasionally steal kills so I've had to largely either avoid attacking or run away when bosses are dead. Kinda fun following around my bothers item farm character and picking up piles of loot.
I put way less mods on my areas and easily got 50 chaos worth of stuff if I wanted to bother selling stuff which I avoid like the plague. It’s rng the mods vary from like 10-100% xp to 10% splinters/ebyss eyes, some of course will be way stronger then others in terms of money.
Yeah, I'm sure I'll lose damage overall (aurabot with minions to kill things for me, but I do alright damage) but hot damn will it do a ton to help my sustain. At least until I can get a proper Watchers Eye with at least ES on hit while you have Discipline active, but hoping to have enough exalts to get a dual-Discipline jewel.

Oh man, brother used some of the exalts from his Queen of the Forest (he had another legacy one, but mine had better stats) and got me a proper 6 linked shavs with 5 red/1 blue and holy poop...
Swapped out my Warlord Mark ring for another +3 socket one, conveniently enough this one with Poacher Mark on it (yay for lucking out on crafting!) and put in that fucking ES leech gem and this build is god-damn hilarious. Smashed the shit outta a T13 rare corrupt with dual curse, I do insane damage for a damn aurabot.
This is now by far my favorite character to play. Just need to finish leveling gems/character and getting a few minor upgrades and I should be functionally unkillable while able to solo high tier maps at a reasonable clip.
Finally six linked my Tinkerskin chest and now my trap spec is insane. Things die instantly now and I never run out of energy shield with Eldrich Battery.
This game so god damn leet!
