I'm really liking consecrated ground on leap slam to help soften the incoming damage. I'll probably just...not leap slam into the middle of packs. Generally a single 2h swing is enough to prime most white enemies for a heavy stun, if not heavy stun them outright. Haven't tried Shield Charge in a hot second (did try the other charge slam, was not a big fan) but might have to give that a go again.
I don't even really use my 1h/shield or block that much, might just totally replace that weapon with something else to tinker with some other skills.
No one has found the golden tomb in the lost city either? You look up online and you're lucky if it even gets a mention and if they do it's a screen shot of they icon on the map as if that helps at all. Ask in general chat and you just get ignored while people complain about something
Absolutely hilarious shit. Brother finally comes back after a few days and I go to check how he's doing...he uninstalled. He's bad, unwilling to learn and accept that he doesn't know shit about how this game works, immediately frustrated and rages hard when faced with the slightest challenge and is just pure salt right now. I tried to explain some things to try to help him and he had zero interest in hearing how he might just be bad and need to git gud. It was the first boss of A2 before you unlock the ability to get on the caravan, which admittedly is rough when you beat the boss and suddenly the area is filled with a ton of ranged enemies, heh.
Sadge, was looking forward to duoing with him over the holidays. Maybe once he drinks some water and reduces his salt levels he'll give it another go.
I have some questions about gems. When you apply a "perk" to a skill does it apply to all skills, only that skill, or all skills of that type. Cause some like increases fire dmg but lowers ice and electric seem to have no downside if it only applies to the skill its on but also seems like a terrible nerf to dmg if it effects all skills and you multi element. They also don't let you apply copies of the same perk to other skills so I assume it means it works on all skills but not sure.
Stuck on act 2 final boss atm, can't find any lightning resist shit atm and most of my gear is under leveled since all that fucking drops for me are shields and crossbows. Can't even gatcha since she is out of stock and the other vendors keep giving me shit unless its str/armor.
I also feel like the game is trying to pull in too many directions that may end up hurting it in the long run. Like slower/grindy games are fine but who really is going to enjoy doing that shit dozens of times for classes/leagues when you can just play poe1 or another game.
I do think POE2 is the closest anyone has come to capturing the feeling of Diablo 2 so far.
I loved Diablo 1 and used to play it with my dad. When Diablo 2 came around, I remember what it felt like to walk out of town and crush the brains of monsters, their guts and brain matter spilling on the floor. There was a sense of foreboding, mystery, and loneliness.
Just being in the world of POE2, the atmosphere and visuals are 10/10. The sound design is very good (not as good as D4 IMO) but the soundtrack is outstanding.
I am having an absolute blast playing the game.

Gems don't have a skill tree. I think you mean the support gems. Support gems only affect the Skill Gem (or Slotted Skill) they are linked with.
Its pace varies a lot currently by class and method. The game is still in beta and may be more than a year away. This is just the tweaking/tuning phase. We only have 12 out of 36 classes in the game and gems, equipment, and so on of those classes don't exist yet.I also feel like the game is trying to pull in too many directions that may end up hurting it in the long run. Like slower/grindy games are fine but who really is going to enjoy doing that shit dozens of times for classes/leagues when you can just play poe1 or another game.

I figured that but then I didn't understand why they would only let you activate/unlock 1 copy of a specific support gem that could potentially be used in multiple skills. Like why can't I put an Aoe increase support gem on both my solar and electric aoe attacks.
I guess i should try fucking around more with support gems like grabbing some electric from ranger and see if they slot in and stuff since I have like 20 extra rank 1 uncuts.

Just curious if I need to activate VPN or something, do you guys habe lag spikes?
not FPS related, really just lag, not high latency either, only just like a spike of 200+ms and then 20ms again.
GGG feels it makes choices more important in your skills.
I agree with their notion here. In POE1, you often ran multiple copies of the same supports on every skill. So I might have 5 copies of Faster Casting on every skill. Which was kinda common. There was just no reason not to choose multipliers to what a skill was already doing in POE1.
They made the supports a lot stronger than in POE1 and gave a lot of secondary effects you'd normally get off the tree onto the new supports.Like why can't I put an Aoe increase support gem on both my solar and electric Aoe attacks.
As above, the supports in POE1 were rather generic mostly and power was contained in the effects from the passive tree and unique gear more so than linked gems.
Links gems often were just a sort of force multiplier that you didn't even have to think about because 3rd party tools would tell you the optimal supports each time- 2-3 copies of the same gems, basically.

Rolled a warrior and about to finish act 2 I think. The pace is slow but I can kill mostly everything with 1 - 2 shots. When i saw you can hold 2h in one hand, I went right for it! Now my damage is insane BUT I have to spend more in strength since the requirements are TRIPLE. Looks like i can dual wield 2h as well ... but I still need more strength so Ive been building a spider web on my skill tree. Some day ill put more into damage but I think i need more defense now.
I also tried this trail thing for ascendancy. Died by losing my "honor" and I will not be going back until I hit wall. Getting in the face of monsters and taking hits is kinda what a warrior is suppose to do. i don't have interest in dodging and running away from enemies.
So far this game feels much better than POE1.
Ascendency points are huge damage boosts, and heavy stun as a warrior is very good for sanctum. I need to go back and try it a few more times, but the first roll through wasn't too bad. Just lots of...well, rolling. And luck (I got like 2 downside rooms that were pretty light overall).
Unrelated: I'm kinda surprised/annoyed there's not more in the cash shop, especially "new" things and not just updated MTX from PoE. I need some cool looking armor/weapons (haven't picked up a supporter pack yet, but might just to solve this problem) and shit, yo. Though I will say the default gear, mostly armor, does look very good compared to PoE.
Boss's health pools are too God damn high, for "normal" difficulty... seriously sucking the fun out of the game for me.
Gave up spending an age with my Merc on Colosus when his damn grenades just roll off the platform rendering my damage completely gimped.

Maybe you already know, but just in case. When you open the window to cut a support gem, there is a checkbox at the bottom saying something like : "show recommendation", and its always checked (well at least for me), so you only see 3 options per tier. You can uncheck this, and will have a lot more options to chose from. I know for a while I didn't know about this so just saying in case.
This really can depend on your build and whether you are mixing & matching. There is almost every skill in the game is better with supports. It's up to you figure out what works for your build.
For example, I linked my Frost Bomb to a skill that reduces it's duration. That allows the skill to trigger sooner but applies less DOT effect. For my build, the trigger matters more than the DOT.

Just start Cruel diff. I have gotten an ok amount of Unique's sadly too many are not for my class. Having 55% drop rate rarity increase is helpful(at least it seems that way), my buddy has over 70%.
