GIVE ME MORE JUICE I WANT TO GIVE THE TREE MORE BABIES

this is a weird league when you describe it

new mechanic defense missions really do kinda gimp your loot in those maps since they replace so many natural spawns. hope they do something about that, and the size of those in general. they're a bit much for what they pay out, especially unlocking all the portals and shit.

I don’t know why I bother, three characters down and yet to get to maps, I am now staring over to play shield throw like I always do.

Going to start with an assassin and try cold stacking poison, might go perfect agony.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

This gear tree is kinda awesome. I am more iffy on grafts. Sometimes you get a graft that is banging, but you can go long stretches of a graft being meh.

Obviously, Mercs were more powerful. If they can find a middle ground between the Mercs and Grafts that would be ideal. I'd be fine with a more customizable (ala Mercs) that had power more in line with grafts if this hypothetical third options was less fiddly than both.

I think the Bloodlines should be more orientated around unique tech. The chronomancer, smith of kitiva, blood mage, chulupa equivalent in bloodline form essentially.

I don't think the more generic Bloodlines are interesting or that alluring from many existing in-class ascendcy nodes.

Sure, I can chase down the sanctum woman for 2 points ans drop the herld buff on Elemwntalist. Is that worth my time or build defining in such a way the existing elembtalist doesnt fit? Where is the tech incentive, the interesting mechanisms?

The new skills have all been pretty fun so far. Thats a big plus. However, melee is still a waste of time if not slamming. The league mechanic doesn't support melee, even if you are out here trying to cyclone (mercy on your soul) through 90 waves of visual clutter.

I don't think enough people understand the tech of Fusiliade yet. Also, KB is pretty flashy/easy to build. That said, Fusiliade is one of the strongest skills in the game- if not the strongest.

The last time I felt this cracked on a build was OG Spark totem in open beta w/ 2x dream frags and Gucci Ice Nova. Fusiliade is insane.

Apparently it works with totems but is invisible, I need to investigate.

I was thinking about Doedre gloves and how nice it would be to have for the 100% increased spell damage = 150% increased attack damage for KRoImpact. Literally a few hours later found some. Spent a bit of time in PoB finally tinkering with my build - tripled my damage or so at the loss of blind (which I do like) and a bit of other minor defense. Feels much better and I am a freezing machine now, was not expecting Oath of Winter to be such a strong defensive tool but holy crap I can keep like, everything frozen off fairly modest base cold damage (none on my wand even). Slowly working into red maps now and I'm a bit squishy but that's largely a factor of only having one decent armor bases, and getting some more life/ES should help. Surprisingly struggling with flasks and can't find utility flasks to save my fucking life.

I just found a graft that gives me +15% maximum life, 2% PDR, permanent endurance charges, and 22% increased graftblood. I guess they aren't as gamebreaking as doryani mercs for example, but they aren't too bad.

Interesting... is this a bug or feature? I can't see shit anyway, so it is not like I was going to count my totem proj.

Bug, I imagine. I tinkered around with it and it works, but since totems are more for helping me get to 50 stacks of shock on warden with a bit of bonus damage as a perk I'm sticking with KB. At least until I can test with Elemental Hit of the Spectrum to see if that's any better.

Look at this bullshit, though. The crit is per stack, and Jolt goes to 10 stacks (20% more attack max attack damage, 10% increased damage taken), for a nice 30% crit/10% multi. On top of the bit of damage/crit it already has. And a bonus to blood drops, even if it's a low roll.

Now I just need to link a good body armour the tree gave me (T2/3 ele res, T2 life, T2 hybrid ES/EV) that's over 1K evasion and almost 300es more than mine on top of slightly better other stats. Now I really need to sort my weapon, with a decent one my damage should go up considerably. Build is slowly coming together, baby.

    3.27.0b Patch Notes

    Keepers League Improvements and Fixes

Monsters that are targeting Ailith will now move closer before using their skills.
Ailith will create skills more frequently during Hive Fortress encounters. Note there is a maximum of 6 skill objects active at a time.
Increased the cooldown for which Ailith cannot be damaged for after taking damage. This cooldown becomes longer the more damage she takes from an individual hit.
Failing a Breach Hive or Hive Fortress encounter will now drop all the loot of the monsters you had killed up to that point. You will not however gain any Graftblood or Wombgifts.
Rare Breach and Blight Monsters can no longer spawn with the Soul Eater modifier.
Mysterious Wombgifts were failing to generate Maps sometimes. Mysterious Wombgifts now no longer grant regular Maps, and there is now a small chance for higher level Mysterious Wombgifts to birth special types of Maps such as Shaper Guardian Maps or Synthesis Unique Maps.
The Artificial Selection Genesis Tree notable now affects the chance to get Hivebrain Glands from the Tree.
Breach Encounter skills can now be activated by pressing the 'League Interface' bind (default 'V') while in range.
Ailith now has the same quick action shortcuts as other vendors. Most notably, Ctrl + Click now opens the sell items window when using keyboard and mouse.
It that was Tul and It that was Esh now have unusable corpses. This fixes a bug where if you destroyed the corpse of these bosses shortly after they die the Hiveborn Body Part quest item would not drop.
Fixed desync that could occur with Unstable Breaches which caused them to sometimes appear already expanded.
Fixed a bug with the Gifts for the Genesis Tree quest saying you had turned in no body parts when you had turned in exactly 9 body parts.
Fixed a bug where Genesis Tree Passives for Birthed Unique Items generating with Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence Requirements were described as increased/reduced instead of more/less.
Fixed a bug where the It That Claws and It That Suspects Breach monsters were counted as Beyond Demons.
Updated the descriptions Encrusted Fruit and Wild growth notable passives on the Genesis Tree to have the correct displays: 25% chance for Birthed Currency to drop as Gold instead and 2% chance for Birthed Currency to drop as a full stack respectively. This is just a display update and they have functioned like this since 3.27.0 launch.

    General Improvements and Fixes

Added a button to leave another player's hideout if you arrived there via The Market.
Significantly increased the cooldown on Faustus talking when using asynchronous trade.
Fixed a bug where Captured Beasts could not be placed in Merchant's Tabs.
Fixed an issue where Transfigured Gems were not searchable using The Market.
Fixed a bug where Foulborn Nightmare Jewels had much higher radius than intended. This change affects existing items.
Fixed a bug where the Foulborn Kalisa's Grace Unique Gloves' 50% reduced Mana Cost Buff was not being applied to the player.
Fixed a bug where Animate Guardian of Smiting's Smite ability unintentionally had base damage lowered by ~38% and effectiveness of added damage lowered by ~70% in 3.27.0.
Fixed a bug where Added Physical Damage on Attack Skill Gems was incorrectly described like Base Damage rather than Added Damage. Only Physical Damage was affected by this bug.
Fixed a bug where the tab colours in Siosa's shop were incorrect.
    Fixed an instance crash.

    Controller

Added the ability to access sales history in asynchronous trade when using a controller.
Fixed an bug which prevented navigation within certain Stash Tabs when using a controller.
Fixed a bug which prevented moving Voidstones from the Voidstone storage inventory into the Atlas sockets when using a controller.
Fixed a bug where Y/Triangle could not be used to corrupt a monster trapped in Essence with a Vaal Orb when using a controller.

This patch was deployed without restarting the servers, you'll need to restart your client to patch the client changes.

As I said, it's feat or famine from the tree and grafts. I don't mind that as I progress deeper into maps, heist and delve the tree is less impactful. Though I think later nodes in the tree could be more focused to compensate.

If Kingsmarch is 'go wide', the tree should be 'go tall'. To use Magic terms Chris and Johnathan may appreciate.

  11. #17711
I would say most of the complaints about "poverty league" stem from people not knowing how to craft or use the gen tree.

When have we had access to this volume of currency and deterministic gear rolls? Never. It just happens to be all crafting related.

    What We're Working On

It’s been almost a week since the launch of Keepers of the Flame, and our team continues to monitor community feedback. Over the past few days, we’ve deployed several hotfixes and a patch to address some of the issues players have been experiencing. In this news post, we’d like to outline what we’re currently working on.

We are re-assessing the rewards from Breach monsters in map areas with an eye towards making the league mechanic encounters more rewarding directly, and thus more worth the time to engage with.
We’re aware of the feedback regarding Hive encounters, with players frustrated by having to spend too much time destroying walls before the encounter. We’re investigating an option to allow a large number of walls to be destroyed at the start of the encounter.
We have another batch of Foulborn uniques which didn’t quite make it into launch and will be going in with the next restart patch.
Outside of Breach-specific changes, we are aware of feedback from players that late endgame farming strategies are currently lacking in diversity and progression. We are putting together a list of adjustments to address this, with an emphasis on making currently underperforming strategies more competitive. We are targeting next week for the release of these changes. A larger amount of changes to this area are planned for 3.28.

We plan to deploy some of these changes, along with additional fixes and improvements, next week. Keep an eye out on the news for the full list of changes. Thank you for your continued feedback!

@Fencers are you using anything to reduce skill duration for fusilade? I'm tinkering with it and that delay is...yowza

Yes! First, Less Duration gem. Then equip Timeclasp, look for one with the shortest effect duration. Warped Timepiece neck, also with the shortest effect duration.

One of the keys is that you want to load X proj per cast. So anything that adds additional projectiles (regardless of the overall less damage per) is gonna be your friend here. There are 2 ways you can go: Asenath's Gentle Touch, which causes bodies to explode (I don't use this), or Mark On Hit with the assassin's curse (I forgot the name). You can path to the reduced duration nodes toward the middle, where Scion starts (you'll be in this area anyway), or use a jewel to jump to Magebane to grab those nodes. Use Greater Volley. Trinity works well depending Pure Ele or Lycia (I am not running Sanc)

I think I have the delay down to about 0.1 or 0.2? It is hard to nail down with all my buffs and golems going. I think it's like ~7-8 balls per cast for me. I do not know how to do POB with all the fancy calcs.

I would use a jewel up north of the tree, next to the power charge node. So you can grab the Golem Commander and power charge = spell power nodes in that area conveniently. You will be max Power and Frenzy charges and max Resonance, basically 99% of the time.

It is possible to splash DOT tech with Herald of Lightning. I didn't find it necessary and would prefer a little more defense because I tend to juice.

mmm, that's sorta what i thought. that's too much investment and tinkering just to test : /

  15. #17715
Honestly I don't even mind the drop rates really. I was enjoying myself and my build so much I straight up hit a flow state two days in a row. The currency and item drops being incidental when you're having that much fun haha.

I do be making a good amount of div/chaos running Incursions though and especially just selling the double gem corrupt / double corrupt maps

KB/KR is definitely more user-friendly. I think KR is more iffy on bosses and need more to scale KB. I also think KR is more useful if you are playing deep into heralds - where that is truly the main source of damage and ailments. Whereas KF is more you-are-the-machine-gun.

I would level as RF or Arc/MOM to 2 stones and swap to Hybrid ES/Life Tri-Ele FK (my build) or CI FK, more lightning/wisps direction. CI version is potentially stronger. But I have a great ES chest and appreciate the stone golem buff since I am losing two slots to unique jewelry.

    https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Rathpith_Globe

oh shit, forgot this item exists

man, if i get this I can swap to totems and there are no downsides - totems aren't spells (sadly wisp summons count). just some nice block/spell block, %max life, some decent ES, and (for me right now) 430% spell damage which becomes like 600%ish increased attack damage. can ditch doedre gloves for something with evasion to get the 15% spell suppress mastery back too.

  18. #17718
I guess my homebrewed version of KF is more scuffed than what others are doing. Functionally, I am like 90% of the way there with fewer hours invested.

    So much tech.

hmm, downside to my build (KRoImpact) i did not consider

i cannot see a fucking thing

did the new bosses by accident without gigadps in a map i absolutely overjuiced not realizing it

i can tell you only two things that killed me (big telegraphed slams) because could identify the voice line the preceeded it

i cannot tell you anything else that killed me because my entire scree is covered in attack effects

i may need to reconsider this...
