Which reminds me - Most Wanted's rubber band effect seemed to be a little broken at times.



And I'm not just saying that because of this. Razor was genuinely much too easy as a final boss, and the rubber banding would never kick in for some reason, meaning I'd completely demolish him in some races. Underground was much more difficult in that regard. "THAT" 7 lap race, every race against (any of) the EastSiders and Melissa come to mind.

It was too orange and the roads were too wide. And the neons looked like shit compared to underground 1.

That's one thing. It, unless my mind is playing with me now, also felt slightly "slower" than the original. Underground had a much stronger sense of actual speed from what I remember.

Most Wanted was the only game of the series I got into. I loved getting graded based on how well you ran from the cops.

The fact that you got the BMW for the final pursuit was the icing on the cake. Easily the best car in the game, and it even looked great.

I still thought that the races against Razor had much more of a "final boss" feel to them than the final pursuit though.

I hated the game for taking me my Corvette ( was it one i cant remember)
But I remember the handling of the BMW compared to my car before
cancer
