No minions of Bolas unfortunately, but I did get a Ring of Evos Isle, which is a decent equipment, a couple Crippling Blights, and a Tormod's Crypt, which could be handy for shutting down my friends zombie deck.

Skeletons could be fun, but they'd work a little too much like zombies. creatures that keep coming back, never dying.

The only difference between Zombies and Skeletons is one has a little more flesh to it.

While that would be true, just seeing more skeletons would be nice, and more skeleton lords. I mean there are only 31 skeletons in all of magic and only one lord for them.

Decent enough. Fat packs are such a gamble and at the end of it the only thing you usually get out of it are lands and a die.

I really only bought the fat pack because it's about the same price as buying 9 boosters, and I needed more deck boxes and plains. I'm a white deck whore.

On that happy note, I did get a couple whites with exalted. It stacks, so that can get really silly powerful really quick.

Yeah if you can get it for slightly cheaper than the norm it really ends up nice.

Oh hell, you'll never get that card out in competitive play. If you do, you are both doing it wrong. It's a fun card, for fun games.

It will definitely find home in EDH decks somewhere. There are board wipes every where that it isn't even funny.

Enemy guilds coming up first in RTR followed by allied guilds in Gatecrash.

Exalted stacks. Infinitely. You can create tokens with exalted, and there are 5/5 angels with exalted. Get a few 1/1 nuckleheads with exalted on the field + the angel and you now have a 10/10 flyer.

Exalted is better in slower environments where you got 1/1 unblockables and just went off turn after turn with exalted stacking.

Faith's Reward is more of a niche type thing. Definitely awesome when it is used, but it will be waiting for it to come up.

I love all of the RTR prerelease info.


Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, and "Sinker".

Oh wow, lots of information here... basically all upside.

First, guilds coming back. This was obvious but it's good to hear it's happening as this is yet another hint at Shocks coming back. RtR will have Izzet, Azorious, Rakdos, Selesnya, and Golgari. With Simic, Gruul, Boros, Orzhov, and Dimir being in Gatecrash. All guilds have new keywords. The guilds watermarks are slightly changed, but still easy to identify.

Second, this is a Ravnica block, so no planar jumping as was speculated before.

Third. The set cycle will be Big-Big-Small. So come fall you will draft RtR, RtR, RtR. In winter, you will draft Gatecrash, Gatecrash, Gatecrash. Then come Spring, you will draft Return to Rav, Gatecrash, "Sinker" (but in reverse order obv). This is cool.

At the prerelease, you get to choose your guild. So come the Return to Ravnica Prerelease, I could choose say Izzet (which I will) and I will get the following:

-5 Return to Ravnica packs.
-A Guild pack of your guild with 15 cards of those colors.
-Promo prerelease card (which there will be 5 promos for Return and Gateway, one for each guild.)
-Guild spindown.
-Guild sticker.
-A letter from your guild leader and...
-A Prerelease challenge card.

This is all good except the fact that you get to also play with your prerelease card, which will be an auto-include in everyone's deck.

Also, there are two PW in RtR. One is Jace.
In Gatecrash, the tagline is "Fight for your guild" and Gideon is confirmed to be one of the two PW in that set. All hints and the picture of him scream he will be Boros.

Funny part. MaRo asked what the most important thing in Ravnica was and the audience screams "Shocklands!" of which Maro replies... "Yea and Guilds..."

Anyway, I was very impressed. Good panel overall.
