Pony Lore Question: How many miles do you think there's between Ponyville and Canterlot?

I still wonder what unit of measurements they use. I can't recall any imperial or metric units used, and the fact that it's a Canadian show taking place on a parallel Earth doesn't help narrow it down.

Though I will laugh at the irony if they use the equestrian-accurate unit of "hands" to measure height XD
