I'm talking to the computaah nerds tomorrow hopefully, but even that will cost money. And I haven't found a job yet so I kind of have none :/

So best case scenario? I find out what is wrong with it tomorrow, and he can repair it for less than 50bucks. And then I'll get it back sooner or later, possibly in a few days.

Before I say anything, know that I played it with an x-box controller, and without such a controller the game is pretty much worthless. It can't be played on the keyboard and mouse

The combat system involves you randomly flailing your weapon about hoping that you attack the enemy before they attack you. The magic system is weird, because you can't control which colours you want to use unless you pick them up in a very specific order which is annoying. Because the game uses sprite graphics, it's hard to tell whether you're in front of the enemy or behind it, and don't even get me started on that bloody camera.

The combat system is as old school hack 'n' slash as it gets. You press a button to hack in front of you, it's fast paced and you don't really have combo's. This makes the combat system pretty freaking hard. You can't just run in and press your button and kill yourself to victory, you have to time your attacks to get a button mash combo on your target. You have to know when the target is going to attack so you can run to the side and smack him back.

I love the magic system. It's easy to understand, there's a lot of combinations, but it's not mindless. Magic hurts a lot, to the point where a combination of any offensive magic will 1-hit any enemy. So ofc you have to pay attention to in which order you pick up the stones. You can't just run around, loot everything and then fire fireballs at everything. That's now how good games work, that's how kitty games work.

The game is hard for the wrong reasons, having health drops when you're at full health and then 5 minutes later when you're in a new room while on <10 health not getting a single health drop is infuriating.
If you die you have to run back through every room you've previously cleared (even though some other games have worse death penalties, it still doesn't make this one good).

That is not what makes the game hard. Health is very scarce. And this is where I think there's created a schism. Because 'normal' gamers will look at this and say "WTF this is fucking unbalanced, if I kill enemies I take damage, and I can't get the health back. Gay". But 'real' gamers will say "So I can't get the health I lose back. Then I make it my 1'st priority not to lose health. Ever." Which basicly means it's better to dodge an attack than to kill the enemy but lose health. This is where the strategy comes in.

The kawaii desu desu thing doesn't appeal to me. I can't understand whatever language it's in and I can't be bothered to sit there and read all the text. I prefer gameplay over story.
