Some parts of Bioshock were pretty scary the first time. Sadly the game is short and easy as hell.

Bioshock 2 isn't scary but it's a better game.

It's not the story that I'm worried about, it's more the scary parts that make me not want to play. Same for Dead Space, I can handle the darkest and most gruesome part of any game, but I will not want to continue a game which is trying to make me scream in terror every minute. xD
I will say though that, I think TES beats Fallout in terms of how much I like it. However FO3 comes very very close to Skyrim <3
I just like fantasy stuff more tbh.

I love horror games, but Bioshock ain't as much of a horror game as for an example Silent Hill. It's more of a story game with horror elements

A-fucking-mazing it is! Graphics are surely outdated but as far as I know there are some high quality textures out there. The atmosphere is so awesome and the characters so memorable that a friend and I play it even today.

The major problem is that it's borderline impossible to get. After the developer went broke they sold the rights to some law firm who stubbornly refuse to make the game accessible beyond what was delivered before the collapse of the developer. You can't get it on steam, you can't get it on gog.com, you can't buy it from amazon... The best bet is eBay...

My RL mate has an actual copy of it because he loves that game. So I can just grab his disc and go nuts
