What about when you watch some sort of world first video?
There they end up adding music usually making it fit with the fight, whether that means at a tense moment the music becomes more powerful and once the boss finally dies it matches up with the music calming down before ending.
Except instead of them timing the music themselves it happens naturally.

Back when I played WoW I'd have a list of orchestral music playing in the background when I raided (unless I wasn't in the mood for it and played electronic music instead) since a lot of the time there'd be times where the music matched up and I'd get this burst of awesomeness.
Believe it or not it actually improved my performance most of the time.
