My main reason for installing windows 8 is just to see how much quicker its rumored to be. The boot times look really good in HDD environments. With various optimizations that MS is boasting, it should make this piece of shit computer bearable for the simple tasks I do like browsing folders and the internet.

Might as well get used to metro anyway, not like its going to go away now.. even though I don't agree with it.

mm i hate wensdays at uni now....had the 2hour lecture at 9am, went or and hour and a half, then had a workshop at 12...the thing is i had dont the work for it the night before si i stayed to make sure my program worked which took 10minutes so yeah......i have to now wait till 7pm for another lecture that i hope doesnt go for 2 hours as it will be a pain for me to get home since the buses between the campuses stop at 9pm T-T.

I wouldn't recommend it right now. Wait till more stable drivers are released (aka RTM versions). I wouldn't touch it if I gamed a lot.

My honest thoughts on W8... its a transition OS, like Vista but with bigger goals. They are making it more appealing for devs to develop for the metro UI. Thats why there is a kinda chaotic environment with metro and the classic UI clashing (metro apps run in metro, classic apps run in a the classic environment much like windows 7 does.)

When Windows 9 comes out in... 2015 or whatever, there will be no classic UI. It'll be all 100% metro.

Well, if you go with Stormcloak, then what you're doing it splitting the war into a 3 sided one, which will allow the Aldmeri Dominion to eradicate you all better, because the Stormcloaks and Empire will be half as strong as the Empire was in the Great War. If you side with the Empire then you allow the Aldmeri Dominion to believe that you are staying loyal to them, while you truly still want to fuck them over. Of course, any insurrection the Empire tries to cause currently will be swiftly destroyed, as evidenced by the fact that the Aldmeri Dominion absolutely raped them in the Great War. So, yeah, if you side with the Stormcloaks you pretty much assure the destruction of all non-Thalmor.
