Topping The Dark Knight as a movie is like topping Atlas Shrugged as a book.

It's definitely not something a sequel will do. Maybe in a few years we'll get a new movie that is worth calling a masterpiece.

In that potential of the great shared dreaming state. There is a 4th Batman film dreamed up by Nolan. That has Batman and Robin in it and does it justice.

But in the mundane world we get a reboot because DC wants a slice of the Avengers pie with their own JLA film. And it will be rubbish.
