Oh, F1Rejects, your articles crack me up sometimes.

Yep. I mentioned it multiple times - Lotus have a damn good car (good pace in hot conditions and it's quite easy on the tyres, which is already something that Raikkonen loves), but their race strategies leave much to be desired. It's not even Raikkonen's or Grosjean's fault that they have no wins - their team is actively screwing both of them over. While I don't think anyone could've stopped Vettel from winning in Bahrain, my hunch is that Raikkonen would've beaten both Maldonado and Alonso in Spain had the team pitted him a couple of laps earlier. Grosjean, too, got screwed out of a few good opportunities. Canada comes to mind.
Also, Raikkonen is usually very strong at Spa, so my money is on him for the next race.
Lurkylurk active!
Shaed is gone, isn't he.
Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!
Maybe. I didn't catch the post-race stuff as I was way too tired, but who knows.
From what I've noticed so far this year, dry qualifying + wet race generally produces the most entertainment out of any possible combination. Dry quali + dry race is a close second, but that is heavily dependent on the track (Hungary was a total failure in that regard, whereas Europe (Valencia) was surprisingly good.)
Also, on a scale of 1 to "holy shit", how surprised are you by the fact that Maldonado has only two points finishes, yet one of them is a win (in a poor car, no less)?
Alright, now, I know this picture doesn't really work, primarily because I drew Dash in a different style, but that was because I found out that I still take way too bucking long to draw backgrounds; backgrounds that really don't look all that special.
However! I took this as a chance to start studying concept design/industrial design to maybe find a way to create nice looking backgrounds that don't take me days and days to complete.
Luckily, for a first attempt, I think it came out pretty well.Took roughly 30 minutes to get this down (not including Dash), and is only done in black and white so I didn't have to worry about hues or saturation, only value. It would add quite a few hours onto development time trying to detail it out. I did a little bit of detailing on the left side of the city, but only a modicum of time was spent on that because that wasn't the focus. Also didn't bother cleaning any of it up.
Again, doesn't really work as anything final because it's just rough work to "test the waters", in a sense, for creating work like this; it's kind of intuitive, in a way.

Anyways, the picture is that of a steampunk-ish cloudsdale, where the city is suspended by steam (which looks like a cloud, hence the name). It pulls up water from beneath the lower layer and cloud and uses the light from the sun to create the heat and boil the water to produce the steam. It also gathers the light to create rainbows, because, you know, you need dem rainbows.
Turning the drawing of ponies into an art lesson (...one that isn't about learning how to draw ponies).
Sadly the Cloudsdale one is the only interesting one I can think of at the moment, but now I might just try doing any sort of background, since I now have an idea of how it's done.
