I fully intend to, but finding the right wording and getting it all typed out is taking a lot longer than expected.

I mean, time traveling, lazer guns, inter-galactic space travel, communication devices between species. We don't have such things. Which is why, I think, many sci fi novels are focused around time traveling.

And what you are describing about the monsters are exactly what I dislike. Making them scary to us, how does that make sense? Did the aliens, who have their own culture and world, their own understanding of life, know that they would meet us sometime and evolve into something that would put the fear factor on their side? No, I refuse to believe so.

Maybe I am not cut out for Sci Fi. But I think my reasons for disliking it is legit enough. When I look at my favorite movies, not one single sci fi movie is up there besides the first Alien movie, and that is mostly there due to nostalgia and my love for the Alien creature, as I said to Hudson.
    1. I didn't just say that it's based on just modern technology, but speculations.

    2. That's why they're horror movies, if you don't want the aliens to look scary in those horror movies how do you want them to look like? Like jellybeans? That would be even less "scientific" than Alien movies. So far the only self aware intelligent creature we can think of is a humanoid.
I'm not a fan of movies with aliens, too. My favourite sci fi movies would be the ones like blade runner.

Hmmm. Sounds like you're burned out or something. How's your creative imagination? Has the idea flow slowed down at all?

It has, but I really forced it to. At least twice now I've nuked it and started over from scratch because it had no focus--it just meandered from idea to idea as they occurred to me. There was hardly any coherence or connectivity. It's also slowed down because it's a long story, so not every paragraph can be condensed epicness. There has to be mundanity and periods of tranquility to juxtapose, or neither has any impact; I've settled in for a much longer development period than what I thought it would be at first, because there's no way I can write it in a couple of weeks and still have it be as good as I want it to be. It's just not gonna happen.

Also, I did get your post/PM earlier. Dunno what to say besides, I don't think WoW is nearly as enjoyable as it once was.
