Well, I'll admit you getting money for your birthday only to have it all taken from you a week later so that your Mum can buy hair extensions is taking the piss, however I wouldn't complain if it was towards something like food or bills.

Well it depends immensely on the reason. And in that case the mom should at LEAST ask, not just bloody take it. If I'm remembering right the reason was kinda crap. (I was lurking when he brought it up, but I might be remembering wrong.)

Well I give money to my mom when she asks. Sure, that's fine. She needs the money more than I do any day. I am always able to wait. I just want her to ASK ME before taking it, which most of the time. . . she doesn't.

It's fine if everyone is expected to pitch in to keep a little. But just taking it without actually asking pisses me off a bit. And yeah my dad makes about 31k a year for him, me, and my mom. :/

Canned food is the shit! Especially those chef boyardee things, I grew up eating those all the time XD Sadly my mom can only obtain food through foodstamps, and we only get like a little over a 100 a month, soooo yeah.
And sometimes I seem ungrateful myself, but the thing is, i'm not. I have very little, so the little I do have i'm thankful for.
