- Didn't play in Classic.
- Joined mid-BC. Learned the game. Took me a couple months to hit 70.
- WotLK came out and I ran my first Heroic (Nexus), learned a little raiding and got my first piece of raiding gear in my first raid (Arrowsong!), and cleared some (but not all) of Naxx, Ulduar, and ICC (missing PP and LK.)
- Cata - Didn't bother touching most raids and have avoided raid guilds as I got my fill when my WotLK guild stopped raiding after we finally downed Sindy for the one (and only) time we did, but finally cleared end-game content while it was current.

I don't raid for the loot. I raid for the content. And it was SO good. Had the bow and the polearm drop on the same run the first time in LFR DS.

And since the content in LFR = the content in Heroic, it's all the same to me. I did not say the loot, I did not say the difficulty. I said the content, and that's the important part to me. Only difference is bigger numbers.

the reason i dont count LFR is because it's too easy, but yeah, it's the same content.

ooops. that's where you are wrong. the numbers are smaller yes, but that isn't what makes it harder, LFR doesn't have some of the mechanics.

I thought Alysrazor was most fun, but then again I got to fly in the air doing 90k+ dps for 8 minutes. There were some weeks I didn't show and when I came back everyone was saying "Finally we won't spend 10 wipes on the boss now that Dontrike is here."

Sadly, I'm the highest dps in my group, by far, although we have a mage with the Legendary Staff, and I'm a DK. (Not trying to boost my epeen, I swear!)

Well outside of the heroic differences in each fight they are pretty damn close.

My luck in Vanilla was going through BWL.
BC I cleared everything and was 4/6 before the nerfs in Sunwell.
Wrath I was heroic everything besides LK.
and now I have everything on clear in Cata.

Every time I just get more and more awesome.

Ever since I got my computer my dps has just gone up even more. I am easily top 5 in my guild and that is if I am not in top 3, which I am on most fights.

was in a group today with my 72 hour old hunter ( 72 hours @ 85 that is ) and we cleared easy with me in the top 5 dps.
get in a group for regular today on the third boss, 2 wipes before the kill, then we couldn't get past 4th boss trash.

Ouch, that hurts.

Content yes, but not the difficulty, but you choose how you wish to play the game and if that is fine with you, then that is okay with me.

before the first sunwell nerf the 2nd ( or was it 3rd? ) boss was not killable. was back in the day when blizzard decided that it would stop group stacking by making an encounter 100% unkillable till they wanted it cleared.

Me too, except I sorta slowed and stalled in Cata. My toon count tripled though...

no, the story is the same, the content ie the basic encounters, are different in as significant a way as regular is to heroic :P

ohh as far as raiding went, started in vanilla late MC then cleared most things at current content.
my favorite thing was BWL, the room with the spellbinders, I got to Kite them around while my group killed the others, was really fun.
after a month or so doing it i could do it without a healer

I like it. The proportions are very good, and that's important. Manes are a bitch at first, until you realize you're trying too hard. Unless you're going for realism, you only want a few broad strokes, none of that draw-ever-hair insanity.

Looks like I missed some fun a couple hours ago. "I don't enjoy the show, so my only conclusion is other people like it for hipster/porn/immaturity/mommy-didn't-love-me reasons". Freaking eh. Ah yeah. Tail end of BC is when I started watching the raid firsts and server ranks. Watching Sargeras get killed so soon after Muru was a disappointment.
