They're a mixed economy like most of modern day world but they're still mostly capitalist. Just because a socialist party is mandating doesn't make it non-capitalist, the same is with my country. Of course the US is even more private sector oriented so I guess they're the embodiment of capitalism or something.

So we can track, target, launch, and intercept missiles with other missiles then. I wonder how good that system is.

I also remember seeing somewhere that a system was developed for tanks to track incoming rockets, and when they are feet from impact, spraying them with bullets so they prematurely explode, consuming their forward energy before they reach the armored hull. I wonder how that would work against say, Javelins.

I do not think tank technology will be advanced further than it is today. All the firepower tanks have can pretty much get melted into one gun with the weapons technology we have today, so it's not worth it. They are clumpsy and destructive and two men with a M88 are probably more damaging unless it's a siege.

But Calvary had to progress somehow. Regretfully, tanks are starting to take the path of battleships. They are becoming expensive artillery platforms, and Anti Tank missiles are becoming good enough to finally counter them if they venture too close to the front lines of the battlefield. I expect they will be phased out if better armor or better defense can't be given to them.

Socialism is a political alignment with economic undertones. The idea is the government controls major industry(not all industry like communism).

Exactly. I think we are either going to see a vehicle that does what the tank does plus some more, like the ability to cross waters (Hoverboat style) or something, or else the tank will just become a siege weapon and be replaced by something more vertile.
