Well, I've fried my processor in the past (not from overclocking, but from constantly having my computer running 24/7).
This happened about 5-6 years ago and since then I've been extremely paranoid about everything just because of how much hassle it was at the time.
I'm not sure if I have the money to replace the processor if it fries.

You won't fry it if you watch your temps. Worst that will happen is you will starve it for voltage or go too high and it will hard lock / bsod on boot. Originally Posted by Kohtiko
