Hey, everypony. I've been offline for a while, getting my life set up. Now, it's come to a screeching, abrupt halt, and I need some advice. I met a girl, and moved with her to Seattle, because it was what she wanted, and I also wanted to live there. Two weeks ago, she decided that she wants to leave the country, and go to Thailand. I don't speak Thai, and I am still working on my nursing degree. She also doesn't have a degree, and speaks very little Thai. She told me that she was definitively leaving at the end of the year, and that I would have to either go with her, or not. Today, I went back home, to where I left everything behind for her, to give her the life I thought she wanted. Am I in the wrong for not going? Is she being super selfish for not willing to compromise and letting me finish my degree before we leave the country, which was the original plan? I need some advice, and I appreciate it all in advance.

honestly drathnir i agree with your not going. You're in the middle of getting your degree and you dont speak the language, its a lose lose if you go. I believe she is being selfish in the fact that she expects you to drop everything and go with her. It's hasty decisions like that that can ruin a life. In my opinion you should go with the first plan and finish the degree, see if you can convince her to stay until then, it will be well worth it.

But seeing as you left and went back home what i said is irrelevant, but i agree with your decision, why wait around for a relationship with an expiration date? I mean after all you moved to Seattle with her, which imo is a huge task, to leave all behind and move to a different state *if you did, if not then a different city*, but now she wants a whole other country, and thai isnt really doing that great tbh, its main economic gain is exports, and it focuses mostly on services which is ~50% of all its business, so if you cant speak the language theres a 50% chance you wont get a job in the cities, ~30% agriculture, and ~20% industry, dont get me wrong the industry part is a longshot but i dont know their health policies so its probably a no go. Not to mention all of the pirates that roam off the coasts in that part of the world... just a bad call all in all.... sorry got off topic
