I agree with this sentiment and that's why I hate the shared lockouts. Originally Posted by Joyful
In ICC and the beginning of Cata I pushed progression with my 10 man group and it was all players I have played with for at least 5 or 6 years each. Even on bad nights we'd still have fun because we all enjoyed each others company. We knew everything about each other and could joke about anything. I still did 25 man raids with other friends though that were actually part of my guild that I formed just before BC came out. We weren't focused on progression in that group so we had fun while still being ultra competitive with each other.

Then again, at that time my server wasn't the wasteland on the Horde side it is today, so my memories are quite nice. And the shared lockouts are perfect for me. I hated having to raid everything twice (or was it 4 times...) a week, and close to the end of ICC we couldn't even get a 25 man raid together, so couldn't ever get any gear upgrades.
