True. But there is one different. At that time Yam was not pissed, this time he is.

Not completely. Your blood is never completely de-oxygenated.
    Poor dogs. Stupid WW2. But I'd rather have a husky, though It's semi de-oxygenated. That's actually a word \o/

This is true, the deoxygenised blood simply looks blue due to the color of the veins they travel through.

@pOO - the blood looks blue through your arms because of the way light reflects, surely if half the blood in your body is oxygenised and the other half isn't, then half your veins would be red, the other half blue

@mig - it is an awesome word, and I like how a few people other than me used it too.

It appears blue because your skin absorbs the Red spectrum of light, while it reflects the blue spectrum. As a result, the blood appears blue.

PS: The term "blue blood" was used for nobility because their skin was generally more plae than the skin of a normal worker or something. That way their "blue" veins could be seen better.

Which is what I said without bothering to be specific, as I used a coverall, but yes, it's to do with the way light is absorbed/reflected.

My skin absorbs all the light, leaving it black.

No, because the arteries that contain the oxygenated blood lie deeper than the veins that carry the de-oxygenated blood. Hence you don't see the red vessels. But even if you could see them, you're still right in the light reflecting thingy.
