Most certainly. However, I would say it is usually one of the more common ones to be interested in, especially people being affiliated with political parties (at least where I've grown up). Do you personally identify with a party, an ideology or anything of the sort? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I have strong socialistic values from my parents, but I voted against it last time around (and I would again).

I am VERY socialist, i.e. all the political tests I've taken have placed me as an orthodox marxist, communist, and socialist, though I don't believe these tests to be very accurate, only a moderate guideline. I'm not sure where I get my political views though, my mother is almost center, and my dad stays as neutral as he possibly can, though I believe he's slightly republican, and I live in Utah, which is most certainly the most republican state in the U.S. However, I don't really follow any party, and I don't quite fit into any ideologies. I tend to update my views constantly though, as I take more and more economic and history classes, and the more abuse I get from my peers for supporting anything but the republican party.
